Hi , this is meteorologist Steve Pelletieri and I am the weatherman . Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Saturday . It is the 20th day of the month of July 2024 . Just like much of the Northeast corridor , we'll have some pretty good weather today . A little bit of cloud cover still lingering because of a frontal system that is stationary that extends pretty much across the mid-Atlantic states , from the Carolinas through Virginia and then just along and to the east of Delmarva and the Jersey northeastern coast . That's going to cause a little bit of partial sunshine for the day as our temperatures reach into the middle 80s , then partly cloudy at night , with nighttime lows down to 67 . It looks like Sunday is going to be a fair day Plenty of sunshine , highs , 80s to near 90 degrees . By Monday back to mostly sunny weather , but a chance of late day and evening thunderstorms as temperatures will reach in the upper 80s and lower 90s across much of the northeast on Monday . Probability of showers and thunderstorms looks like it will continue through Tuesday and Wednesday of this upcoming week , as temperatures still not very warm but still ranging basically in the mid to upper 80s , which is pretty close to normal for this time of year . Recounting for today it looks like generally partly sunny conditions , as our highs will range into the middle 80s For traveling interest across much of the nation on this Saturday .

Taking a look , we still see that stationary front just off to our south and southeast that's causing showers and thunderstorms from the Carolinas southward all the way down into north Florida . Looks like light shower action across Atlanta , so no major problems weather-wise into there , but heavier thunderstorms are a possibility into the Charlotte region which could cause between one and two-hour delays . Also looking at some scattered showers and thunderstorms in central and south Florida , but much of the eastern portion of Florida just under clouds and later afternoon and early evening thunderstorms . No major delays expected there . Houston and Dallas looking pretty good .

Also dry conditions in the Chicago area . Some scattered showers in Minneapolis-St Paul , but that's associated with another frontal system moving down from central and southern Canada West Coast looking basically a drive decently all the way up to the Portland and Seattle area . Weather situation will probably be pretty close to that type of weather pattern Southeastern rains and showers and thunderstorms , the of course shower and thunderstorm action across the afternoon and evening in the Four Corners region and dry weather across the West Coast for Sunday and Monday of this weekend .
