Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Monday, 22nd day of the month of July already. First thing we're going to do is take a look at the weather situation across the nation. As far as aviation is concerned, if you're flying about, the problems expected no problems expected in the northeast corridor from DC up to New York City, all the way up to the Boston area, westward to Chicago, minneapolis, st Paul all looking pretty good as a matter of fact. Also still looking good on the West Coast no problems from San Diego up to Seattle, but just typical late afternoon and early evening thundershowers across the West Coast of Florida, down across through Fort Myers and Naples and also around Miami, but still having some showers and thunderstorms around Atlanta and Charlotte. A little bit of delays going into there, especially during the afternoon hours on Monday. In Texas it looks like Dallas and Houston not too bad. In the Austin area maybe some afternoon or early evening thunderstorms Also.

We're going to take a look at the weather situation for the northeast corner. Looks like we're just going to have an increased probability of scattered showers and thunderstorms For the day. It's going to be mostly cloudy with hazy, sunshine, temperatures in the middle 80s and it looks like at this point about a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms from DC to Boston. Also in the shower and thunderstorm action for the evening hours, monday and on Tuesday. Monday night lows down to about 70 with about a 60% probability of some showers and thunderstorms. More of the same likely for Tuesday and Wednesday. It's basically that area that I've been mentioning, down around Atlanta and the Carolinas, all starting to drift a little bit further northward. Eventually the front moves through and we get into some better weather by the end of the week. But still look for scattered showers and thunderstorms each day, monday right up through Wednesday of this week. And we're also going to be adding in the air quality Air quality for the daytime on Monday looking moderate across the New York area, new Jersey, pennsylvania, southeast New York and also Connecticut up to northern Virginia, maryland, also West Virginia and extends all the way out to the central Mississippi River Valley and most of the western states.

Just moderate air quality problems and it looks like pretty good air quality from San Francisco northward and coastal Portland and up in Seattle. Also looking pretty decent from around Charlotte all the way down to Texas and then into South Florida. Of course that's because of the scattered showers and thunderstorms that we'll have there, so air quality will be moderate for the most part to good southeast states during the daytime on Monday. I'm meteorologist, steve Pelletier, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today and talk to you first thing on Tuesday. Take care.
