Speaker 1:

Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I'm the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Thursday. It is the 25th day of the month of July and we still see that frontal system that has been stationary across the northeast, extending from New England all the way down and through the Gulf Coast states, now become active as a cold front and that's causing some scattered showers and thunderstorms across the northeast corridor during the daytime on Thursday, but then by Thursday evening high pressure currently across the Great Lakes is going to build east by southeast Should give some excellent weather to the mid-Atlantic and northeastern states as we head in through Friday, saturday and Sunday. Possibly a return to the heaths and humidity as we head towards next week. So temperatures during the daytime on Thursday generally in the 80s with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Sunny skies 80 to 85 on Friday. Great weather Saturday and Sunday, although warming up to the 80s to near 90 both days this weekend From DC to New York City, up to the Boston area as well. Aviation-wise, looking at great conditions in the Oshkosh area where the Oshkosh Airshow is continuing as we head into the next several days, we see that high-pressure building off to the east and southeast and that basically will bring in that return flow of southerly winds and maybe some weather towards later Sunday and Monday.

Speaker 1:

Chicago's looking good, as does Minneapolis-St Paul. Down in Atlanta still having areas of showers and thunderstorms, mainly during the afternoon hour. A similar pattern in the Charlotte area, south Florida some widely scattered thunderstorm mainly during the afternoon hour. A similar pattern in the Charlotte area, south Florida Some widely scattered thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening. Worst showers and thunderstorms near Jacksonville, extending westward out to Pensacola and Tallahassee In Texas. Looking at some showers in Houston, but it looks like dry but hot weather continues. Dallas-fort Worth west coast has been dry of late and yet continues. From San Diego all the way up to Portland and Seattle Looks like dry weather. All the rainy conditions in the Four Corners region extending all the way up into Wyoming, idaho and much of Montana, northwestern North Dakota.

Speaker 1:

As far as air quality is concerned for today it looks like generally good conditions across the southeast states. Of course that's because of scattered showers and thunderstorms across the southeast states. Of course that's because of scattered showers and thunderstorms. But eventually, as things start to clear up, you're going to get into some very heavy amounts of air pollen and that will be in the form of grass pollen that will be arriving sometime on Friday and Saturday in the east, but it does look like much of the nation's midsection will be under moderate air quality alerts, and the worst of it being over western sections of North Dakota and South Dakota and western Nebraska, northwestern Kansas and northeastern sections of Colorado. That's where the air pollution should be worse. In those places, Not too bad in the New York City area, though. Moderate areas of air pollutions are expected there. No problems, mid-atlantic all the way down to the Gulf Coast. I'm meteorologist, steve Pilatirian, I am the weatherman. I hope you have a great day today and talk to.
