Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Friday. It's the 26th day of the month of July. First, taking a look at the air quality across the nation. Still those showers and thunderstorms across the southeast states, from about central Virginia all the way down to Florida, westward, right through most of Texas, including Louisiana, arkansas and Tennessee Valley for the most part, except for Kentucky, we have generally good air quality. Good air quality also from around just north of LA in Santa Monica, northward all the way up to San Francisco, up into Portland and into the Seattle-Tacoma area. Elsewhere across the nation, from the Dakotas south into northern Oklahoma and into the Four Corners region and then a narrow band eastward right through southern Illinois and the northern Tennessee Valley in Kentucky, ohio and even sections of Pennsylvania, air quality going to be a bit moderate. The reason for that? Well, still dealing with that grass pollen situation. Some of the worst grass pollen that we're seeing is across South Dakota, also over Nebraska, iowa and into southern Minnesota and the southern Great Lakes extending eastward. That continues to make the air quality a bit on the tough side. Southeastern states all doing quite well Weathermize across the northeast corner.

We've got some great weather coming up Friday, saturday, sunday and Monday Each day. Temperatures ranging in the mid-80s today on Friday, but also near 90 degrees or in the lower 90s, upper 80s, lower 90s. That'll be for Saturday, sunday and Monday of the weekend. Taking a trip across the nation or even close by aviation-wise looks like great conditions. Flying in and out of the northeast corridor, that's Dulles, dc, baltimore, philly, new York, newark, laguardia, jfk and all the way up to the Boston area. We've got some great weather expected there. Also great weather in Chicago, also Minneapolis, st Paul and Detroit no problems.

Then we have the frontal system that's stationary, extending from eastern Kansas through Missouri and then into, well, the border between Kentucky and Tennessee and then just over the mid-Atlantic states from the Carolina southward and that's where we're going to shower some thunderstorms. So looks like more showers in the Charlotte area, some isolated thunderstorms in Atlanta. Doesn't look like there's going to be major amounts there. North Florida also one of those thunderstorms. South Florida and southwest Florida just afternoon and evening thunderstorms Typical weather there. Looks like dry weather in Dallas, but hot and possibility of some thunderstorms, but basically hot. In Houston, four corners still having a monsoon. Looks like rain there, but dry weather continues on the west coast, from LA all the way up to Portland and Seattle Tacoma.

Get out and do something for this last weekend of the month of July, a month that's been quite warm and looks like over the weekend near normal to slightly above normal temperatures for the northeast. Elsewhere the heat continues. Hope you have a great day and a great weekend. Talk to you first thing Saturday. Take care.
