Speaker 1:

Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletieri and I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Friday. It is the sixth day of September 2024 and we've had some great weather in the eastern seaboard and the northeast over the last several days and now some showers and thunderstorms working their way out of the Great Lakes, will be arriving in the east on Saturday. That sets us up for the possibility of some showers, but then it looks like high pressure builds in from the Great Lakes and it looks like nice weather from DC up to Boston. That'll be on Sunday, commencing Monday and then warming up Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. When temperatures get back into the 80s, maybe the chance of some showers in the northeast and along the eastern seaboard, probably sometime later in the day on Thursday or Friday of next week. Again, we do have some showers and thunderstorms as a threat for this upcoming weekend in the east and northeast on Saturday.

Speaker 1:

Over the southeast it looks like still a stationary front extends from coastal Texas right through Louisiana, western Florida and the northern portion of Florida, where showers and thunderstorms are likely, from Savannah down to Jacksonville and then westward through Tallahassee, pensacola, also into New Orleans and coastal Texas and near Houston, even in Dallas-Fort Worth might be some heavy thunderstorms associated with a frontal system moving through later in the day. Atlanta at this point not looking too bad, or Charlotte the weather situation there generally fair, but the showers and thunderstorms over central and south Georgia could be locally severe and causing some delays down into the Florida Peninsula if you are flying during the daytime or later evening on Friday In Chicago the frontal system has already gone through that front. During the afternoon on Friday we'll be around Pittsburgh, extending from Buffalo down to Pittsburgh and into central Tennessee and Kentucky, possibly around the Nashville area where there could be some scattered showers and then high pressures building down into Minnesota and the Great Lakes. Looks like some great weather there. West Coast still showing dry conditions from San Diego all the way up to Portland and Seattle with near seasonal conditions a little bit on the warm side through four corners with drying weather there. Overall pollen throughout the daytime. On Friday still showing it quite tough from the mid-Atlantic states all the way to the central portion of the nation up through the Dakotas and most of that overall pollen because of ragweed Ragweed the big problem across the nation's midsection, extending through the Carolinas and the Virginias. A little bit of a break expected from Pensia and New Jersey up into New England because of expected rains, but then that will be building back in by later on Sunday, monday and Tuesday expecting high ragweed concentrations central and eastern parts of the nation for early next week.
