Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into the weathermanpodcom on your Sunday. It is the eighth day already of the month of September, the month going by very quickly and usually have some pretty nice weather for this month of September and it has been nice. We had some scattered showers moving through as a cold front arrived on Saturday afternoon, saturday evening across the Northeast and that big area high pressure has been across the Dakotas, the Great Lakes and into the Ohio Valley for the last day or so and it's now going to be expanding all over the central and eastern portion of the nation. So the forecast for the northeast corner, from DC up to the Boston area, looking for sunny skies on Sunday highs will reach the lower 70s or about the upper 60s across the north and west On Sunday night mostly clear. It gets chilly at night 45 to 50 to the west, however, about 50 to 55 in the city. Looking at mostly sunny conditions on Monday, monday's highs in the upper 70s. Here's where it starts to get interesting. By Tuesday lower 80s. Wednesday, mid 80s. Thursday upper 80s and it may even touch 90 degrees in many places on Friday of this week. A little frontal system moving through may keep our temperatures in check next weekend, but it does look dry for the next five to seven days.
Speaker 1:From DC to the Boston area, including New York and central and northern New Jersey, right through the next seven to ten days If you're traveling or aviation hub weather across the nation. Basically there's very little weather at this point. We do see the frontal system almost stationary from about Louisiana or coastal Louisiana, new Orleans, up to around Jacksonville and further south. It will be typical weather across central and south Florida. But Atlanta, charlotte, chicago, minneapolis, new York, boston, dallas, fort Worth, houston, all the way out to the west coast, from San Diego, la, san Francisco and Seattle all looking generally fair. So no problems weather-wise both on Sunday and on Monday.
Speaker 1:Biggest problem, however, is the pollen. Of course it's allergy and hay fever season, with Rag Week being a big problem from the nation's midsection all the way to the eastern seaboard, now encompassing the Carolinas, and down into central and northern portions of Alabama, mississippi and Georgia and even into interior and central Texas, that far to the west into the central Rockies, west Coast, also showing a light to moderate amounts of ragweed and grass pollen. This situation will continue for a good balance of this week because it is going to be dry for the at least next three to five days. Mostly central and eastern portion of the nation.
