Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletieri and I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking in to theweathermanpondcom on the 16th day of the month of September 2024. Looking at a tropical disturbance just off the coast of North and South Carolina it's tropical disturbance number eight may become a tropical storm before it reaches land sometime around the northern and eastern South Carolina coasts, southeastern sections of North Carolina, near Wilmington, out towards Myrtle Beach, and that's going to bring in only maximum winds of 45 miles per hour but it has lots of rainy conditions. That rain will meander all across the Carolinas and the Virginias over the next several days and may spread off towards New England and affect the northeast with some showers sometime around later Tuesday, wednesday and Thursday of this week. So the forecast for the Northeast corridor looking dry today. We'll have some of that cloud cover and some of that moisture from that system coming in. We do have an east flow and it'll keep our temperatures in the 70s across the Northeast today and it's also going to bring in that cloud cover and a possibility of some showers during the daytime on Tuesday, wednesday and even Thursday. There could be some periods of heavy downpours if the storm does gather strength and moves from anywhere north of the DC-Maltimore area, but we are also looking at the possibility of some unsettled weather continuing towards the end of the week. The forecast in detail for Thursday and Friday still calls for the chance of some showers, of temperatures in the 70s, but by Saturday and Sunday of this upcoming weekend, partly sunny both days, a little bit cooler with high pressure moving in from the northeast Traveling across the nation.
Speaker 0:On your Monday, especially in the afternoon evening, looks like low pressure will be across North Carolina. That's going to bring in some showers and some rainy weather, maybe a little bit of delays moving into the Charlotte area, also up to DC, baltimore and then into the New York City area by later Tuesday and on Wednesday. Atlanta seems to be clearing out, south Florida still scattered, heavy showers and thunderstorms later in the day and at night on Monday and on Tuesday Dry weather in Texas, chicago and Minneapolis it looks like dry weather from California, from San Diego all the way up to San Francisco, but rainy conditions from Portland all the way up into Seattle, extending eastward from there, crossing through much of Washington and Oregon State into Idaho, montana and the Dakotas over the next couple of days. I'm your moderator, steve Pelletier, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great Monday. Talk to you first thing tomorrow, take care.
