Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I'm the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom. On this Friday. It's the 27th day of the month of September and Hurricane Helene moved into the western Florida, panned Handel and coast and now over Georgia as a weakening storm, eventually will become a tropical storm, then a tropical depression and then eventually just meander across the Tennessee Valley. But it's causing quite a bit of rainfall in Georgia, northern Florida, south Carolina, western North Carolina, kentucky and Tennessee, and that's going to be the problem. So still some delays expected because of this storm, probably heavy delays into the Atlanta area, although as the storm passes to the north things should start to improve. But in the Charlotte area still overcast with rainy conditions and there will be some extensive delays into Charlotte expected for Friday, friday evening, even into early Saturday, but then an improving trend Still looks good.

Into Texas no problems there. New York and Newark under clouds but not low clouds. So we're not going to see any major delays, just some normal delays because of lower clouds and some light rain showers from time to time. Chicago, minneapolis, st Paul, st Louis all looking good. West Coast just a morning fog in LA but then decent weather all the way up to San Francisco. Rainy conditions in the Pacific Northwest will hamper some flights into the Seattle-Tacoma area sometime later Friday into early Saturday.

Weather situation for the Northeast corridor, though, showing that we're going to have clouds and the possibility of some rains, with a stationary front that lies from Pittsburgh right in through central New Jersey and just off the New England coast, and that'll be there probably right up through Sunday and eventually it all depends on where the remains of Helene will be actually moving or actually affecting the East Coast and Northeast weather over the weekend and into early next week. Right now, the projections show a weakening storm, but one that will continue Lots of cloud cover and showers in the Northeast right through early Monday. I'm your host, steve Pelletier, and I'm the weatherman. We'll take a look at it again on Saturday morning. Hope you have a great day today and talk to you again tomorrow. Take care.
