Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I'm the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom. On this Saturday, 19th day of the month of October, a month that's been really dry across the mid-Atlantic and northeast. It looks like this dry weather trend will continue through this weekend. Excellent viewing for the foliage the fall foliage just reaching a peak across the Delaware Valley and also central and southern New Jersey. It's just about at the peak and beyond as you go up into the New York State Finger Lakes region and also up into the Adirondacks. Of course it's about maybe two weeks late there, but you have some excellent viewing up the Hudson Valley, out into the Delaware Valley and also into the central and western portion of Pennsylvania and Ohio. So it looks like some pretty good weather for there. Big area high pressure is going to be with us right through this weekend. If you're flying on this Saturday, it looks like great weather.

Flying to the west coast of San Francisco. We've got relative and friends that are leaving Newark today after a great week of getting together and having some fun and reconnecting. Looks like you're going to have great weather from New York, jfk, laguardia all looking pretty good all the way out to San Francisco. There is some weather around the nation's midsection that's going to cause some locally heavy showers and some thunderstorms, maybe a little bit turbulence, but you'll probably take the Great Circle and that will take you over the Dakotas and then down into San Francisco. Good weather there. Good weather into Atlanta, also into South Florida. Good weather into Atlanta, also into South Florida. Some late-day thunderstorms that's typical for there. Southwest flow into Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth will keep their weather warm but also on the dry side. Still dry in Chicago, also in Charlotte, dry. Atlanta looking pretty good.

Four Corners showing some pretty hefty rains. They extend from the Four Corners region that includes Utah, down to Arizona, new Mexico and up to Colorado, extending all the way up through a frontal system that's stationary and through central Minnesota. That's going to give you some areas of showers and thunderstorms. In Minneapolis, st Paul, for a good balance of Saturday into Sunday. West Coast is looking dry. San Diego, la, no problems there. Into San Francisco, excellent conditions for our friends getting into there. Salt Lake looking dry, although the rains are off to the east, but it looks like rainy weather in Portland and Seattle on Saturday and Sunday. Weather for the Northeast Guard are at 70, 70 to 75. Today it looks like in the mid-70s on Sunday. 75 to 80 Monday and Tuesday Frontal system will be arriving later on the week and that's going to bring in some more seasonable conditions towards the end of the week.
