Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I'm the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Saturday, 26th day of the month of October, as the days keep winding down and looks like we've got some cool weather for the northeast this weekend, more autumn-like conditions and even the possibility of a patchy frost on Sunday and early Monday, and some interior spots from DC up to the Boston area. Also, looking at some very chilly readings, they've already had a very strong frost across the Great Lakes in the central and northern Plains states and also in the Pacific Northwest, more rainy weather moving into there, and that will be continuing, with a series of low pressure systems moving down out of the northern Pacific, out of the Aleutians, right towards the west and northwestern coast of the United States over the next several days. Elsewhere, though, it's still dry across the the northeast, except for a little frontal system that moved through and there's the possibility of a few sprinkles and showers, mostly across New York State and up into central and southern New England. Also a few areas of showers around South Carolina, north Carolina and even along a frontal system that extends through Arkansas and East Texas, and then dry conditions in California. It's typically dry in Southern California this time of year.
Speaker 0:Now we are looking at some pretty nice weather for flying around. We do have in the Atlanta area the possibility of some thunderstorms for later in the day and the evening. So just some minor delays into there, no delays into Chicago, new York, boston, dc or even in the Philadelphia area, texas looking pretty good. It's in Houston, that major hub, and Dallas-Fort Worth and LA. No problems there. And it looks like some showers moving into San Francisco and some rainy weather in Portland and up in Seattle. So some delays up into the Seattle area during the later portion of Saturday and into Sunday as well. Next several days there will be some rainy weather moving into those places.
Speaker 0:Weather for the Northeast Gardener on Saturday Skies are going to be mostly sunny but windy and temperatures ranging only to near 60, about 58 north and west to about 64 along the coast. At night it'll be clear and chilly down to the middle 30s and then sunshine. Sunday and Monday each day near 60, nighttime lows in the 30s. By Tuesday, wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures will start warming up and you'll have high temperatures in the 30s by Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures will start warming up and you'll have high temperatures in the 70s, even near 80 degrees on Halloween Thursday. In the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern states it looks like dry warm weather continues, but record dry conditions will continue into early November. We don't see any major areas of low pressure just yet. I'm your host, steve Pelletier, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today.
