Speaker 1:

Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletieri and I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Saturday, second day of November 2024. And we're looking at some pretty good weather across the northeast it looks like from the mid-Atlantic all the way up to the northeastern states. High pressure is building down from the Great Lakes and that means good weather for those places at least up through Sunday. And with that high pressure building just offshore return flow southwest winds and maybe a frontal system to give us a little extra cloud cover by Monday and Tuesday. But the trend will be towards warmer conditions as we head towards the middle of the week.

Speaker 1:

Elsewhere across the nation, if you are traveling on this Saturday, expect a lot of rainfall across much of central and northern Texas, oklahoma, also sections of Kansas and Nebraska as well, from an area of low pressure it's going to cause some locally severe weather from the western panhandle of Texas, out of also southern and eastern New Mexico where there could be some flooding, also seeing big areas of low pressure, some continued illusion of low pressure and frontal systems moving out of the Pacific Northwest, out of the northern Pacific, into the Pacific Northwest, washington and Oregon. Lots of rain there. Central and northern California is also going into Central and Northern Nevada, idaho and Western Montana as well, where there will be snow across the mountains, but in the east it's just generally dry conditions. So if you are traveling on this Saturday, expect good weather in New York and Boston DC, no problems there. Charlotte might be a shower, but nothing much. No major weather delays there, no weather delays into Atlanta or even into central and south Florida, although there will be some late-day thunderstorms. It's in Texas where you're going to have those locally heavy downpours, especially in Dallas-Fort Worth. There could be some delays and also some delays into Houston, but it doesn't look major delays, but there will be some weather concerns in those places. St Louis also on the dry side, as will be Chicago and Minneapolis-St Paul, san Diego and LA looking pretty good, but San Francisco you'll have rain. Also rain in Portland and Seattle-Tacoma Weather for the Northeast Carter.

Speaker 1:

On your Saturday our highs will range in the upper 50s to near 60 from DC to Boston. 50s up to the north, lower 60s off to the south. Clear chilly conditions at night, temperatures closer to normal for early November, with low temperatures ranging into the 30s to near 40 degrees in the cities. However, it looks like Sunday will be a sunny day, also near 60 degrees. It's the start of Eastern Standard Time, so set your clocks back. Fall back one hour before retiring on Saturday evening. On Monday it looks like some clouds will be moving in, but it looks like the weather is still generally dry across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast and they're in that drought situation and it looks like we'll continue for a good balance of this week. Hopefully we'll get some rains towards the end of this week and into the early portion of next week, second week in November. I'm meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I am the weatherman Hope.
