Hi, this is Middy Ronson, Steve Pelletier and I'm the Weatherman. Thanks for checking in to TheWeathermanPodcom on your Thursday. It is the seventh day of November 2024. A look across the nation shows an approaching frontal system to the east and it's been very warm in the northeast corner of DC up to the Boston area yesterday. Temperatures are right around 80, about 85 in some of the warmer spots, with record highs Elsewhere. It looks like clouds will be on the increase and there's some showers working their way out of the eastern Tennessee valley across to much of Virginia and the Carolinas. Once that system moves offshore, high pressure currently across Iowa will start to build down. Looks like we'll have some excellent weather conditions for the daytime on Friday and it looks like nice weather for this upcoming weekend as well, Although that frontal system will be mostly stationary from east Texas right across through North Carolina and might keep some of the clouds and showers across the Carolinas and North Florida later on this weekend Looks like lots of rain across much of Texas, with a series of low pressure systems from about Dallas all the way up to Amarillo, westward to El Paso and also into New Mexico and southern portions of Colorado, western sections of Kansas and Nebraska and Oklahoma.

There could be some locally severe weather with that during the afternoon hours on Thursday and possibly even on Friday as well. Then high pressure is building southward. It should start to dry things out. In the meantime, Hurricane Rafael was just to the southwest of Havana, Cuba, during the evening hours on Wednesday, and the storm is now gradually working its way into the southeastern Gulf of Mexico. From here it looks like it meanders might even weaken just a bit, but possibly bringing more rainy weather to the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast sometime later, Friday night and this upcoming weekend. It was a Category 3 as it crossed Cuba. However, it's probably going to weaken down to a Category 1 or just a tropical storm as it gets into the Central and Northern Gulf on Friday and this upcoming weekend.

If you're flying during the daytime today, we're looking at good weather for the Pittsburgh area, Chicago, Cleveland, Minneapolis, St Paul, Easton, New York, LaGuardia, JFK no problems there up to the Boston area Will be some showers in DC and at Dulles. However, it looks like generally dry weather in Atlanta and also in Charlotte, although there are some showers. Off to the east. Dallas-fort Worth, as I mentioned, is going to have those showers and thunderstorms, so there could be some delays in there. However, Houston is looking pretty good at this point. Watching for Raphael, though, moving out of the Gulf over the next several days West Coast is dry from San Diego all the way up to San Francisco and up to Portland. Looks like showers will be moving in gradually to Pacific Northwest and Seattle-Tacoma sometime later on Friday and Saturday. I'm Eddie Rogers, Steve Pelletier and I am the weatherman. We'll have an update on Raphael during the daytime on Thursday and also on Friday morning. Until that point, have a great Thursday. Talk to you first thing on Friday, Take care.
