Hi, this is video manager Steve Pelletierian. I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Friday. It is the 8th day of November, quickly approaching a third of the way through the month, and it goes pretty quickly. You have to keep that in mind. Temperatures across the Northeast, on a warm side again on Wednesday and even on Thursday temperatures are quite nice. But we see a big area of high pressure building southward from the Great Lakes and that's going to be moving into the northeast. The temperature trends will be a little bit cooler as we head into the weekend, but close to normal. In the meantime, hurricane Rafael is across the central Gulf of Mexico, almost slowing down to this point and weakening just a little bit. It might be affecting somewhere along the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast, but we'll have more information on that for you during the afternoon hours today. In the meantime, if you're flying on this Friday, it looks like good weather into Atlanta, charlotte, new York City and Boston, also dry, into Chicago and up into Minneapolis St Paul as well. It's coastal sections of Texas that'll have showers and thunderstorms. So Houston may have some delays. Also some delays because of some locally severe weather into the Dallas-Fort Worth region, especially during the afternoon and evening hours with a frontal system through that state. Dry in El Paso, dry in San Diego, la and San Francisco, but rain moving into the Pacific Northwest later today and tonight.

Weather for the Northeast Carter is showing dry conditions and red flag warnings are up in many communities across the Northeast because of dry weather and because of the possibility of gusty winds out of the north. Any wildfires that form will get out of hand because of the stronger winds and because of the dry conditions and rental fuel. I mean we've got a lot of leaves on the ground, along with brush as well, and anybody who starts a fire or anything that will spark a fire and remember most of the time in in nature you have fire started by lightning, but that's none of that around here. So we have any fires that start, probably because of negligence of either campers or anybody out in the open. So keep that in mind. But chapters today 63 to 68 for the New York area, all with sunshine. Dry in DC too, about near 70, only near 60 to 65 up in Boston, where there could be a few showers up and around Albany, and northward up to Messina and then also into Vermont. But it looks like dry weather, but cool in the 50s on Saturday. Nice weather for Sunday, except for later in the day and at night could be some rain moving in from DC to Boston and it's much needed rainfall. But it doesn't look like a lot and not a long duration either, and then we get back into some dry weather.
