Speaker 1:

Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I'm the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Monday. It is the 18th day of the month of November. It's quickly going through. As I've been mentioning, it's also been very dry and the dry weather across the east continues, but not so across the nation's midsection, from central and northern Minnesota southward, all the way to the Texas Gulf Coast, louisiana, mississippi and the central Mississippi river valley. There's areas of rain showers and some thunderstorms, with a warm front that's passing through much of Illinois, indiana and Ohio. It'll be going through Chicagoland over the next 24 hours. Once it moves to the north, though, the frontal system low pressure arriving from the west will bring more rain. In the meantime, out in the mountains, central and northern portions of Wyoming, northern Idaho, western sections of Montana, eastern sections of Washington and Oregon State, there's quite a bit of snow associated with those storms that continue to buffer the northwest. In Seattle, tacoma, it looks like more rain for today. Portland, about the same. The showers will be on the increase overnight tonight into tomorrow in San Francisco, but basically dry weather across Southern California in the normal desert region In the meantime. In San Francisco, but basically dry weather across Southern California in the normal desert region. In the meantime, in the Northeast looks like the dry weather will continue, but that frontal system getting closer to us, it dries out. It gets closer and it may provide us with some rainy weather either Thursday night or early Friday. Up until then just dry temperatures above the normal for this time of year. Normal high should be 55 to 60, say in DC, baltimore, up in the New York area around 60, but it's only in 60 to 65 and some places near 70 in the capital and Baltimore. On Monday and Tuesday, as a matter of fact, as we head towards the middle portion of the week, there'll be more clouds and the warmer weather streaming up in the south may even cause temperatures to hit 70 in some spots before that frontal system arrives.

If you're traveling on this Monday looks like dry weather from New York, newark, philly, down to Baltimore and DC, northwood, up to a Boston area and up to Albany. No problems weather-wise there. Charlotte's looking dry, as does Atlanta and Central and South Florida, tampa all the way down to Miami, fort Lauderdale, West Palm. There is some showers and thunderstorms in Houston, but dry weather in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, overcast and rainy in Chicago and up in Minneapolis-St Paul could account for some occasional delays there and some delays into Seattle-Tacoma because of the heavy weather moving in from the Pacific. Dry conditions in San Francisco, but maybe some showers. Tonight Looks like dry weather for San Diego and LA Once again.

Speaker 1:
