Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I'm the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom With eye on weather on this Tuesday. It is the 10th day of the month of December already 2024. We're a third of the way through the month and it looks like we've got some heavy weather moving up along the eastern seaboard. There was a lot of dense fog during the overnight. Discussing some delays.

We're getting in and out of the New York-Norfolk airports and the New York-LaGuardia JFK and Newark, with probable delays during the daytime today as well because of heavy weather moving in. Most of it's going to be tonight and then Wednesday will be the tough day. There will be a lot of delays in and out of Newark and Newark, philadelphia, baltimore, washington, even up in the Boston area Because of a major area of low pressure that will be causing thunderstorms and heavy rains in the east, after which looks like high pressure starts to build in with some gusty northwest winds, and that will slow things down again on Thursday. So some tough air travel for the next couple of days. Not too bad today. It gets worse tonight, a lot worse tomorrow and tomorrow evening and then, as we head towards Thursday and Friday, slowly we'll be getting back into a more normal at least weather situation that should keep at least flying across the nation At this point. Not too bad by Thursday and Friday. But it's going to be tough on Wednesday, no doubt about that, and also down in Atlanta expecting rain, charlotte rain for the afternoon and evening hours and rainy weather for tomorrow Starts to clear up though in the afternoon down in Atlanta.

Florida will also have some locally heavy thunderstorms, mainly from Tampa up to Jacksonville and it should extend a little bit further south. But there is a big area of high pressure building into Texas, so dry in Texas and Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth it looks like maybe some snow showers. In Chicago A bit windy but no major problems. Snow up in Minnesota and they could have several inches of snowfall and some Arctic outbreaks. They're starting to work their way down. West Coast is dry from San Diego to LA to San Francisco, all the way up to Seattle and Portland Looks like good weather for the daytime on Tuesday and even on Wednesday there'll be some weather moving into the Pacific Northwest but California looking pretty good. But the big story is going to be the East Coast with heavy rains and big storms mainly on Wednesday and then Wednesday night we get into a strong clearing trend and high pressure and some cold weather moves in for several days. I'm meteorologist Steve Pelletier, and I'm the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing on Wednesday, see ya.
