Navigating December's Weather: Insights and Forecasts Across the U.S
Hi, this is Beauty Bounder Steve Pelletieri and I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom On your Monday. It's the 30th day of the month of December and we've got some dry weather finally up. According to the eastern seaboard, high pressure is now centered across Jacksonville, florida, extending into Georgia and also across the Carolinas. Another cell of high pressure just off to our east and northeast and looks like with a northwesterly flow across the Great Lakes, it's going to be generally dry and progressively colder. A little cold front did move through the eastern seaboard, but not really a lot colder behind it. As a matter of fact, the high-pressure cell that's going to be moving in will keep temperatures generally in the 40s and 50s. On Monday and Tuesday, in between two storms, it'll be affecting the area with a quick half to three quarters of an inch rainfall in the mid-Atlantic and northeast sometime during the overnight periods, monday into Tuesday and, of course, tuesday into Wednesday into the new year. Well, as for weather-wise, across the eastern sea weather looks like generally fair conditions for New York, boston, dc and, looking at, high temperatures for the day, generally ranging into the 50 to 55 degree range, and at night though it'll be clouds, some rain across Indiana and Illinois and out of the central Mississippi River Valley will be arriving in the east and that's going to bring some rainy weather for Monday night and Tuesday but very quickly move offshore in another area. High pressure and a little bit colder and that will be moving in on Tuesday, then on Wednesday with a sharp low pressure system just intensifying over the eastern seaboard, brings a stronger northwest flow and high pressure starts to trench into the nation's midsection. It looks like it'll be with us probably right up and through the middle to the end of the upcoming month. So we've got a run of some cold weather coming after some very mild weather.
Speaker 1:Late December, december Elsewhere across the nation. If you're traveling today, no problems expected weather-wise, at least across Georgia or North Carolina and New York, newark, laguardia, jfk. Even up in the Boston area there was a little bit of fog but it looks like it's drier conditions. There Could be some rain across Chicago. That should slow things down in the afternoon and evening hours, but dry conditions in Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth. Four Corners also dry. West Coast showing dry weather for a good balance of most of coastal California. High pressure is now building in from the Pacific Means like good weather for San Francisco, la and San Diego, but not so up in the Pacific Northwest, another area of low pressure is bringing rain to Oregon and Washington State. I'm your Roger, steve Pelletieri, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing on Tuesday, last day of the month, last day of the year. See you then.
