Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Felicieri and I'm the weatherman. Thanks for checking in to theweathermanpodcom on your Tuesday. It is the 21st day of the month of January 2025 and lots of cold weather across the nation and even some storms out in East Texas and with that cold weather that's down all the way into the central and southern Mississippi River Valley, actually reaching the Gulf Coast, that low pressure center over Texas is going to track almost due east. That's going to cause very icy conditions Could be in New Orleans, could be in Mobile, alabama, even northern sections of Florida, south and eastern sections of Georgia. Ice and even the possibility of ice and snow in sections of a lot of Georgia, south Carolina and North Carolina, including Myrtle Beach and up in Wilmington. That's going to be during the latter portion of Tuesday and Tuesday night. Aside that, it's the high-pressure center of the Arctic High that's currently located across the central Mississippi River Valley and that's causing temperatures to be in the teens during the daytime and in the single digits in many places across the mid-Atlantic and northeastern states, especially up into northern New England, where temperatures will not get out of the single digits during the daytime today, and that high pressure is also causing snow in Minnesota, western sections of the Great Lakes, portions of western Wisconsin, the Dakotas, montana, idaho and even sections of Wyoming. That's from a weak low-pressure system heading there.

The West Coast remains dry. From LA to San Francisco, to Portland and Seattle, no problems weather heading there. The west coast remains dry. From LA, san Francisco to Portland and Seattle no problems weather-wise there. But that big storm that's over east Texas is going to cause icy conditions over the southeast states later on today and tonight. Here's the weather for the northeast corridor, from DC up to the Boston area Just sunny and cold, with an increase in some clouds as that storm passes to our south. Could be some snow showers tonight, especially across DC and southern portions of New Jersey, delmarva and southeastern Pennsylvania. But then it moves offshore and high pressure reestablishes a foothold into the region. That means sunny and cold weather for Wednesday, thursday and Friday. Temperatures slowly, gradually moderating. We may see temperatures in New York City up above the freezing mark by either Friday or Saturday of this week. Until then, just bitter cold continues. I'm meteorologist, steve Pelletierian, I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing on Wednesday. Take care.
