Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I'm the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Sunday. It is the 26th day of the month of January 2025 and, quickly, this month is coming to a close. But the good news out on the west coast is that between one and two inches of rainfall is likely for Los Angeles County and a whole central and southern portion of California, and it couldn't have come at a better time. Good 1 to 2-inch rainfall We'll bring their numbers back up. It has been very dry there.

The normal wet season for Los Angeles is in December, january and February. There really hasn't been very much rainfall in December into January so far, but now we're going to see about one to two inches of rainfall much-needed rainfall too and hopefully have another wave of low pressure sometimes next week. In the meantime, in the east it looks pretty good. High pressure is building in through the mid-Atlantic to northeastern states. Looks like a fair day on Sunday. Sunday night and on Monday For the northeast corner, dc up to the Boston area, look for early clouds but then partly to mostly sunny skies or highs of rains into the lower 40s. Today At night it's going to be mostly clear down to about 25 to 30, and then back to partial sunshine. Monday and Tuesday Both days are highs in the 30s to near 40 degrees. Maybe a little bit of a change, with area of low pressure arriving sometime around midweek, but no major areas of outbreaks of cold air do we see for the mid-Atlantic and northeast for the next several days.

If you're flying on this Sunday looks like dry weather in New York, newark, boston, dc and Baltimore. Also looking good. In Chicago and Minneapolis there will be some rain moving into Charlotte and also rainy weather into Atlanta during the latter afternoon and early evening, but shouldn't really reflect too much of a problem delay-wise into those places. Central and South Florida also looking pretty good. A little bit windy in South Florida, however, looks like the weather situation will hold Rainy conditions at Houston and in Dallas and, as mentioned, it looks like rain in LA, but they need the rain and they're welcoming it for sure. In San Francisco, clearing trend. Looks like dry weather in Portland and Seattle. On your Sunday. I'm meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing on Monday, take care.
