Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I'm the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Wednesday. It's the 19th day of the month of February and this month is going by very quickly and the cold weather continues across the northeast and there's a possibility for a winter storm Sections for the central Mississippi River Valley, extending in through Tennessee and Kentucky, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, even extending to the coastal section of Virginia and Delmarva as a storm passes just offshore. Later in the day on Thursday and Thursday night Might touch into the Philadelphia, new England and actually Philadelphia, new York and southern New England area as the storm goes through. But it looks like the main features from this will be across central and southern New Jersey and southern Pennsylvania as it goes by during the afternoon on Thursday. In the meantime, for the rest of the nation it does look basically dry across central and south Florida, with the frontal system almost stationary from Tampa across and through Canaveral and just south of Jacksonville. Also looks like fair weather now in Texas and in southern portions of the Great Lakes. So Chicago is looking fine, as does Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston. Out on the west coast looks like another big storm moving into the Pacific Northwest, but it will be dry from San Francisco down to LA and San Diego during the afternoon and evening on your Wednesday.

Weather for the northeast corner calling for a partly sunny day today but with an increase in clouds to the south From DC. It will be overcast later in the day and tonight. Increasing clouds to the south From DC it will be overcast later in the day and tonight. There are high temperatures for today, generally ranging to near 30, upper 20s in the southern portion of New England. But it does look like fair to partly cloudy conditions for tonight. As the storm arrives it will be overcast by daybreak and nighttime lows near 20. Then that period of snow and rain from DC southward to Richmond and then eastward to Delmarva and southern New Jersey. It could give several inches to those places as the storm quickly moves offshore.

Then we get into a clearing trend and high pressure builds in for Friday should last through Saturday and Sunday and guess this? We are going to get temperatures near normal for this time of year. That means highs 40 to 45 coming our way on Saturday and Sunday in the northeast. I'm meteorologist Steve Pelletieri, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing on Thursday and we'll take a look at that storm as it passes to the mid-Atlantic and northeast. So have a great day everyone.
