Embrace the Warmth: March Weather Trends and Spring's Arrival
Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletieria and I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Sunday, 23rd day in the month of February 2025. And a look at our weather situation across the mid-Atlantic and northeast, finally showing a little bit of warming. So far, this month of February has been below normal temperature-wise, below normal precipitation-wise too, but near normal as far as snowfall is concerned, because of a couple of little storms. You can put them all together and you come up to at least half of what you normally get during the month of February. But it looks like at this point for the daytime today we are looking at sunshine across the northeast corridor, temperatures ranging between 40 and 45, up to 48 degrees in DC and Baltimore, 45 in Philly and New York City and about 40 up in the Boston area, where there'll be a little extra clouds during the afternoon. At night it'll be mostly cloudy, a little warm front poking through and temperatures down into the upper 20s by Monday and Tuesday. It really starts to feel like a little bit of late February, early March weather Skies are going to be partly sunny, temperatures will range between 48 and 53 and, looking at temperatures on Tuesday, from around 60 to 65 in DC and Baltimore about 45 to 50 degrees. Up in the Boston area and right in between that's a sweet spot in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees. On Tuesday and Wednesday the trend is going to be for fair weather, but gradually a little bit cooler as we head towards the end of the week and the end of this month of February.
Speaker 1:If you're flying on this Sunday, our weather situation for the day really not looking too bad in the New York and Newark area, of course, because of the clear skies and light winds. Atlanta's looking good. Charlotte also up around Chicago no problems there. Minneapolis, st Paul maybe a few rain showers. It's a little bit warm up there at this point. Rainy conditions around Houston will give way to a clearing trend. Most of your rainy weather will be in New Orleans, across through Mobile and also to the western panhandle of Florida. Central and North Texas looking dry and warm. Also San Diego and LA looking good, with increasing clouds. Looks like some rain for San Francisco and rainy weather for Portland and Seattle on your Sunday. I've been your monitor, steve Pelletieri, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Looks like some warming coming up this week and less than one week away from the beginning of the new month of March and meteorological springtime. Talk about that as we get through this week. In the meantime, have a great day. Talk to you first thing, monday Take care.
