Weather Whispers: March Forecast Unveiled with Meteorologist Steve Pellettiere
Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into the weatherman podcom on your Tuesday 25th day in the month of February. My goodness, this month went by so quickly. There's a couple more days left, actually a few more days and while we get into the first day of March usually comes in like a lion, goes out like a lamb. Well, this looks like on a Saturday, at least along the eastern seaboard, the central plain states, is probably going to come in with near normal temperatures, no major storms, and just taking a look around the nation as far as storms are concerned for today, just high pressure across Chicago all the way down through the central Mississippi River Valley down to coastal Texas, louisiana, no problems there. That area of rain that was across central and south Florida, well, it's moved farther to the south, mostly across the Bahamas, and looks like just south of the Keys, so they'll be getting into an improved weather. Look in the Florida Peninsula during the daytime today with near normal temperatures. Now out on the west coast looks dry for San Diego, los Angeles, san Francisco and even up in Portland. Still, those pesky showers moving into the Pacific Northwest will be causing some rain in Seattle and Tacoma and it looks like also some rain across central and northern Minnesota. There's a lot of warm air across the central and northern portion of the nation. That will eventually change as we are expecting an outbreak of some colder air arriving sometime towards the end of this week and this weekend. There's a forecast for the northeast corridor, that's from DCF to the Boston area centered around New York City and most of central and eastern New Jersey and southeastern PA. That's where we're located and we're looking at a pretty good cloud cover for the daytime today and a possibility of a few light sprinkles or showers. There'll be some breaks in the overcast and temperatures will go into the 50s at night back into the mid-30s with some clearing.
Speaker 0:It looks like a fair day for Wednesday. High pressure currently across the southern Great Lakes moves in for a day. Another cold front off into the Dakotas That'll be arriving on Thursday. So tomorrow sunshine, highs ranging also 50 to 55. Looks like showers for Thursday. Then back to near normal conditions for the end of the month on Friday and opening up the new month of March this upcoming weekend. No major storms, at least no major snows showing up on Nation's Outlook for your Tuesday. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing on Wednesday. Take care.
