Weather Ahead

Stephen Pellettiere
Speaker 1:

Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I'm the weatherman. Thanks for checking in to theweathermanpodcom for your Saturday, 8th day, the month of March 2025. And looks like some improving weather across the Northeast Very windy, very gusty conditions and chilly weather on both Thursday and Friday and the DC up to the Boston area. However, new York City going to have a sunny day for today with temperatures ranging into the mid-40s and looking at generally fair skies for Sunday as well. We return to Eastern Daylight Time, so it's six o'clock ahead one hour before retiring this Saturday evening and we get that extra hour of daylight in the latter portion of the day, but the sun's been rising earlier and setting later by about three minutes each and every day. It'll continue at this rate until we get through the month of May and at that point it'll start to slow down a bit until we get to that first day of summer in around the latter portion of June. In the meantime, our weather situation for your Saturday and Sunday for the New York and Boston area down to DC You're looking at fair conditions generally up to near 50 today to DC You're looking at fair conditions generally up to near 50 today in DC. Baltimore, about the same. Philly, 48 degrees, 46 degrees in New York, 43 up in Boston, all with fairly partly sunny skies. At night it will be clear, but still cold 25 to 30. The cold air will be with us one more day, early morning on Sunday. Then it will start to warm up to near 50 to 55 in New York and Philly and Baltimore, dc Also, that will be on Sunday, and only about 45 to 50 up in the Boston area. But you're looking at great weather coming our way for Monday and Tuesday. Both days' temperatures will range in the 50s on Monday and the 60s on Tuesday and Wednesday of this upcoming week, the 60s on Tuesday and Wednesday of this upcoming week with looks like a big area high pressure and some warming moving across the mid-station of the United States and arriving in the east at that time.

Speaker 1:

If you are flying on this Saturday, it looks like great weather for the New York area. No problem getting in and out of the New York area airport. Same for Philly, baltimore at BWI and DC and Dulles, also up in the Boston area. Although a little bit windy still, they still have some pretty decent weather up there expected for the daytime.

Speaker 1:

Chicago had some messy weather the last couple of days now improving nicely, as is Minneapolis-St Paul nice and dry. And Atlanta at the most busiest airport in the world, the commercial airport in the world about I think it's like 120 million passengers go in and out of the Atlanta airport each and every year, second by Dubai. And by the time you get back to the United States it's Los Angeles and also around Dallas-Fort Worth also looking at heavy amounts of passenger traffic throughout the year time. And we are looking at some rainy weather at Houston and also in Dallas. A little bit of delays going into there. Out on the West Coast, dry in LA had some rain, but now dry. Dry also up in San Francisco Back to rainy weather up in Portland and Seattle later Saturday and Saturday night. I'm your monitor, steve Pelletier, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first.
