Stationary Fronts and Coastal Overcast: Your Mid-Week March Forecast with Meteorologist Steve Pellettiere
Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking in to theweathermanpodcom on your Wednesday, 12th day of the month of March 2025. And well, we see a stationary front working its way across the Ohio Valley and right into the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. That usually implies that we're going to have a lot of cloud cover because of an east wind, especially along the coast. That's where that east wind will develop in a latter portion of today, tonight, tomorrow, and probably even lasting in through saturday and sunday. So for the mid-atlantic, from st delmarva up through the jersey shore, all the way up into new york and coastal new england, there's a good possibility of an overcast uh period of time with dismal weather but gradually a little bit milder as we head towards uh on Thursday, friday, even Saturday and Sunday, a good possibility of some showers before the next weather front probably arrives sometime later on this upcoming weekend. So for today we're going to have generally a partly sunny day, but with that front becoming stationary to our south, clouds will move in tonight. High temperatures today, not as warm as it had been so far. This month of March is running about two, three degrees above normal Temperatures today, not as warm as it had been so far this month of March is running about 2, 3 degrees above normal. Well, it's going to be near normal today and tomorrow and possibly even Friday, but a little bit warmer than it should be this upcoming weekend before returning to back to normal conditions temperature-wise early next week. So for today temperatures in the lower 50s, tonight mid-30s with that possibility of some showers. Might be some showers and fog early tomorrow. Then clouds and sun on Thursday. Thursday's high temperatures generally ranging 50 to 55. By Friday mid to upper 50s. But there'll be a lot of clouds and some fog too, especially along the coast and even into the weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday, good deal of cloud cover with the possibility of drizzle, fog and even some showers by Sunday. That's the weather front moving through. Temperatures this weekend 50s to near 60s Daytime, generally in the 40s. At night.
Speaker 0:If you're traveling on this Wednesday, we see great weather down in Atlanta and also central and south Florida. No problems weather-wise there. Charlotte's also looking pretty good and Houston not bad. A little bit of cloud cover, some showers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, but nothing major. Chicago and Minneapolis St Paul all looking good, big area, low pressure moving into the west coast. That means rainy weather from San Diego northward to LA, all the way up to San Francisco, portland and Seattle. Rainy conditions for later today and tonight and some delays getting into those places because of the weather moving in, especially in the Pacific Northwest. I'm Eddie Rond, this is Steve Felicieri and I'm the weatherman. Hope you have a great day on.
