Saturday Will Bring Near-80 Degree Weather to the Eastern US
Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Thursday, 27th day of the month of March 2025. And we had a little bit of light rain shower action last evening in a few spots and it looks like a pretty good day coming up for today. But another warm front will be arriving Tonight, could give us some areas of showers from DC up to the Boston area. It looks like generally moist conditions for the mid-Atlantic states too, from another area and another warm front that'll be moving in by later Friday and Friday night. That sets the stage for a very mild Saturday across the eastern half of the nation. Challenges in many places will be ranging in the 70s, close to 80 degrees and it looks like out on the west coast though, another area of low pressure pacific northwest low pressure moving in to Oregon and Washington and even central and northern portions of California. But temperature wise for today it's going to be ranging generally between 50 and 55, which is pretty close to normal for this time of year. With that next front moving through tonight, maybe some rain showers, maybe some snow showers western New York, northwestern PA and central and northern New England. Then it goes up to near 60 on Friday, with fair skies, 73 to 78 degrees. I'm sure a few spots will touch 80 degrees on Saturday, but then it does look like a little bit of a cool down, with some rainy weather moving in for the last couple of days of this month of March, on Sunday and Monday. If you're flying on this Friday it looks like fair weather in Atlanta but rain showers in Charlotte, good conditions from central and south Florida, tampa down to Fort Myers, west Palm and Fort Lauderdale and Miami all looking pretty good. It is going to be raining, though, in Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth, so some delays getting into there and also some delays moving in to Chicago and Minneapolis, but that'll be later in the day and at night. Mostly during the daytime it's just cloud cover and the possibility of a few showers. But out on the West Coast, dry in San Diego and LA, but rainy weather in San Francisco, portland and also up in Seattle Seems like it's been that way for the month of March, which is about every day or every other day.
Speaker 1:We've had that Big storms moving into the Pacific Northwest, but they don't make it to the eastern seaboard. That's the big change that we've been seeing Many times when these storms come out there, they reintensify east of the Mississippi and then cause some pretty good east coast storms. Not seeing that just yet, but as we get into the month of April. Next week we're going to have those April showers. We'll have more to say about that as we get into the weekend and early next week as well. I'm Eddie Mongeau, steve Pelletier and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing on Friday. Enjoy the day, take care.
