Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I'm the Weatherman. Thanks for checking in to theweathermanpodcom. On this Wednesday, the second day of April, very big happy birthday to my godmother, anna Rose. She's turning 90 today and well, good luck to her. And she's still bowling and having fun and talking to everybody. And, my goodness, she keeps calling me up and saying, hey, how come you don't come down and visit me? Well, either way, I'll be there soon. Believe me, weather-wise we're looking at a pretty decent day on her birthday and for anybody whose birthday it is today, look for an increase in clouds across the northeast corridor.

I've done DC up to the Boston area. Elsewhere across the nation. We're seeing pretty fair conditions across the southeast, fair weather in Atlanta. Florida's looking pretty good, dry conditions in South and North Carolina for the most part, and also in the Gulf Coast, houston and Louisiana, new Orleans no problems there. Mobile, alabama you're getting good weather in those places. Some rain showers, however, in Dallas-Fort Worth and it looks like some areas of snow. In southern Colorado, in sections of central and southern Utah also some snow across the mountain ranges across western Montana, northern portions of Idaho, but elsewhere across the nation's midsection, from about Arkansas northward to Missouri and central Mississippi River Valley. We're looking at areas of rain and they're mostly right across central and western Tennessee, central northern Kentucky, into West Virginia and now just crossing into western Pennsylvania. That'll be arriving in the New York area sometime on Wednesday evening and this big area of low pressure is going to meander around the area. So we're getting a lot of cloud cover from DC to Boston with the possibility of some showers just about each and every day today, actually tomorrow, right up until we get towards Monday of next week. So it's unsettled, more April shower type of weather as we head into this upcoming first weekend of the month of April.

Weather-wise for the northeast corner, as mentioned, it's going to be a partly sunny day, a little bit cooler, at 50 to 55. Normal highs should be in the mid to upper 50s. At night there'll be the possibility of some drizzle and showers. Looks like some showers for Thursday, friday, saturday and Sunday, as mentioned, and we're looking also at the possibility of some clearing and some drier weather for early next week. No problems flying into Atlanta today or Charlotte Down to Miami, fort Lauderdale, fort Myers no problems. No problems, I'm into Houston and also into Dallas-Fort Worth. There'll be some rain showers, but nothing much, maybe some heavier thunderstorms tonight. Chicago's looking dry, minneapolis a little bit colder, but it's dry and dry weather for the most part in San Francisco. A few showers in and around the LA basin and also in San Diego, but dry conditions but a lot of cloud cover still in Seattle and Tacoma. Have yourself a great Wednesday. Talk to you first thing tomorrow. Have a good one, take care.
