Speaker 1Hi , this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I am the Weatherman . Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Sunday . It's the 13th day of the month of April 2025 . And that storm that was up along the northeast caused snow across much of northwestern New Jersey , northeastern Pennsylvania and south and eastern New York State and in some places between three and five inches of snow in Sussex County , also up around Mount Pocono and even up around Monticello and Liberty , extending even down into Monroe and sections of Orange County . But , as you're aware , further east was just traces and even during the evening hours on Saturday there was rain and snow showers Still a possibility for the overnight

Speaker 1But today the weather should improve . Low pressures moving off the eastern seaboard , high pressure will start building , should give us a clearing trend in the northeast during the afternoon hours on Sunday , with high temperatures generally ranging only into the 50s to near 60 . Looks like we'll get into fair weather for Sunday night
Week Ahead Forecast
Speaker 1and Monday . Monday back to partial sunshine . Strong cold front moves through at night that could bring some thunderstorms . That'll be on Monday night . Early Tuesday save in Philadelphia , baltimoreimore up in new york . But we're also looking at a fair but cooler weather flow for tuesday and wednesday of this week , with temperatures remaining below normal and so far this month of april temperatures are averaging about three to four degrees below normal . So far
Travel Weather Across US
Speaker 1. If you're traveling on this sunday , high pressure is building into the northeast , so decent weather weather , no weather problems in the New York area , newark , laguardia , jfk all should have decent weather conditions , but maybe some localized delays because of local situations . Philadelphia , baltimore and DC also looking pretty good , as does Dulles Down at Charlotte looking okay , with high pressure across the region , dry weather there . Dry in Atlanta and Tampa , st Pete and also way down in Fort Myers and into Miami and Fort Lauderdale , no problems weather-wise and dry conditions at Houston and also in Dallas-Fort Worth . Might be some showers in Chicago and some rainy weather in Minneapolis-St Paul , but on the West Coast , dry weather from San Diego , la , san Francisco up to Portland and Seattle , and that dry trend will continue into early next week .
