Monday Forecast: East Coast Showers Following Easter Warmth
Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletieri. I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Monday. It's the 21st day of the month of April 2025 and, after some very warm weather in the eastern seaboard over the weekend and a fairly nice Easter Sunday, it looks like we're into an increasing clouds and the possibility of some showers. The weather charts show a low-pressure system right over the central Great Lakes, with a cold front that extends from the western shores of Lake Huron all the way down into the Tennessee Valley and then into the southern Mississippi River Valley, attempts to get down to coastal Texas. Another area of low pressure is going to continue to give areas of rain to Houston and Brownsville and even into the San Antonio area during the daytime today and this evening. In the meantime, on the West Coast, it looks like high pressure is building into the Pacific Northwest, while another snowstorm is moving into central and northern portions of Idaho the Rockies, of course and into the western mountains of Montana. Northwestern sections of Wyoming Looks like generally rain across a good portion of Colorado and portions of the Dakotas and the western sections of Nebraska, and moving into Kansas and the New York area. Looks like from DC up to the Boston area, the northeast corridor we are going to have generally increasing clouds for your Monday. It'll be dry for the day but possibility of some showers tonight. First a warm front moves through but a cold front will be moving through sometime later on Tuesday, the frontal system basically bringing us the possibility of some rain on Monday night, maybe even into early Tuesday. Then high pressures building across the central portion of the nation That'll be moving eastward Should give us some pretty good weather for later Tuesday, wednesday and Thursday, with temperatures near normal over the next several days, if not just a few degrees above.
Speaker 0:If you are flying on this Monday it looks like fair weather for the northeast and New York, philadelphia, baltimore although some rain will be moving in for this evening, most of the daylight will be fine. Boston no problems there as well. Charlotte's going to be dry, also dry in Atlanta for a good balance to the day. There's showers and thunderstorms will be tonight and early on Tuesday. Central and South Florida also looking good, but that rainy weather in Houston that I mentioned. Drying conditions in Dallas-Fort Worth. Also drying in Chicago, with fair conditions in Minneapolis-St Paul. Also good weather at San Diego, la and San Francisco, at least for flying and also up into the Portland and the Seattle area looking at generally fair conditions with no problems for aviation interest into those areas. On Monday I'm your moderator, steve Pelletier, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing on Tuesday. Take care.
