Regional Forecast: April's Final Days Bring Mild Northeast, Rainy Midsection
Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletieri and I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom On your Thursday. It's the 24th day of the month of April 2025, is this month Quickly coming to an end and is actually getting quite nice and milder. Across the northeast, from DC up to New York and to the Boston area, the weather has been fine, plenty of sunshine for the last couple of days and it looks like fair conditions for today and for tomorrow as well, on Friday. But it looks like a lot of moisture over the nation's midsection. Here's the way it looks. At this point. We see areas of rain across Kentucky and Tennessee, all across most of central Mississippi, alabama, georgia, south Carolina and even portions of western North Carolina. Central and north Texas could have some showers, but the heaviest rain is going to be across eastern Kentucky and Tennessee and northern portions of Georgia, also southern Minnesota, a good portion of central and western Iowa and to the central and eastern portion of Nebraska and Kansas, and then also some heavier rains across southern Montana and the western Dakotas.
Speaker 0:Now to the most coast. It looks generally dry, no problems in central and south Florida, although there could be some isolated thunderstorms off the Miami and Keys coast, but it basically looks dry across the Florida Peninsula and in Houston as well, but rainy conditions are a possibility for the afternoon. In Dallas-Fort Worth, atlanta, expect some delays if you're flying into there during the daytime today because there will be some occasional moderate rainfall that will slow things down to constant IFR conditions and good separation from all the aircraft going in and out of there. It's the busiest aircraft airport in the world as far as airliners are concerned. So Atlanta, hartsfield, you're going to have to have that rainy weather during the daytime today, as will Knoxville and Nashville and eastern portions of Kentucky. Still some showers in Charlotte, but dry conditions in DC, baltimore, philly, new York City, all the major New York area airports and up in the Boston area there will be some low-level cloud cover, but nothing major. It looks like a decent day and out in Chicago also dry weather at this point.
Speaker 0:West Coast showing dry conditions in LA, san Francisco, also up in Portland and up in Seattle, but, as mentioned, the nation's midsection, under some light to moderate rain, some moderate to heavy rains, as mentioned, across the northern plains Weather forecast for the northeast part of the area. It looks like a great, good day today, plenty of sunshine. Our high temperatures will range between 70 and 75, pretty much like yesterday. Also in the low to middle 70s on Friday, but an increase in clouds. It looks like the possibility of some showers for the New York, philadelphia and Baltimore area this upcoming weekend on Saturday, but a clearing trend with a frontal system arriving and maybe some nicer weather by Sunday and early next week. I'm Eddie Rondon, steve Pelletier and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today and talk to you first thing on Friday. Take care.
