Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Friday. It's the 25th day of the month of April 2025 and still some fair weather across the north. Spring has sprung and it looks like great weather for the next at least 12 hours. We do have a strong frontal system, an area of moisture that's been all over the nation's midsection. It's going to be arriving in the east, from DC up to the Boston area, especially on Friday night, saturday and Saturday night. Then we get into a clearing trend of some nicer weather that most likely will continue into early next week, commencing Sunday. But in the meantime it looks like sunny weather today as temperatures reach the low to middle 70s and at night becoming cloudy, with some rain Overnight temperatures back to about 50 to 55. Showers and some thunderstorms are due on Saturday and Saturday evening. This as that cold front moves through. Then high pressure builds in. Nice weather for Sunday and Monday, as mentioned, with temperatures at seasonable levels. This time of year it should be between 65 and 70.

Elsewhere across the nation, if you're traveling or flying on this Friday, we do expect rainy weather in Atlanta and Charlotte. Dry conditions in central and South Florida Looks like decent conditions in New York, newark and LaGuardia JFK, although Newark has been having some hour to half-hour delays because of runway usage and it's a situation probably not going to improve much on this Friday. Boston area having some showers. That'll be during the afternoon and evening hours and looking out into the nation's midsection, it looks like rainy conditions in St Louis and much of Iowa, nebraska, kansas, even in South Dakota and southern portions of Minnesota, including Minneapolis, st Paul, just touching into there, dry conditions but cloudy weather. In Chicago Looks like heavy thunderstorms could cause delays into Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth. West Coast looking dry in San Diego and LA and San Francisco but rainy weather.

Moving into the Portland area it looks like fair but cloudy. In the Seattle-Tacoma area with another high pressure just offshore. I'm Indy Roger, steve Pelletier and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great Friday Again expecting some much-needed April showers for Friday night and Saturday across the Northeast. Elsewhere across the nation Rain areas will be gradually drifting eastward and hopefully we'll get into some better weather towards the end of the weekend. Have a great day. Talk to you on Saturday morning.
