Rainbow Season: The Aftermath of April Showers
Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletieri and I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom. On your Sunday, 27th day of the month of April 2025. And great weather now across the Northeast. Had some hefty thunderstorms move through the Northeast during the afternoon and early evening hours on Saturday. Some of the places better than an inch of rain Beautiful rainbows this time of year with a rapid clearing as the frontal system moved through. Now high pressure is currently across Ohio. It's going to be a building down and cross through the Virginias and the Carolinas and then eastward right up through the mid-Atlantic states from PA all the way into New Jersey, new York and southern New England over the next couple of days. Now today is going to be a bit on the cool side for DC up to New York, with highs generally in the lower to mid 60s, but tomorrow it'll go back into the mid 70s. On Monday and by Tuesday and Wednesday, well, even warm weather, but dry conditions continue 80s on Tuesday, cooling back just a bit into the 70 to 75 degree range on Wednesday of this upcoming week. So some pretty good weather coming up for these last few days of the month of April 25.
Speaker 0:Looking at our weather charts for aviation interesting if you are flying on this Sunday. Dry weather in Atlanta, finally, and Charlotte also looking pretty good. Dc, baltimore, philly, new York City no problems expected there. Gusty northwest winds up in the Boston-Logan area. That's where they'll have just some slight delays, with some extra cloud cover and a lot of rain across the central and northern portion of New England. Elsewhere, chicago's looking good Occasional rain showers.
Speaker 0:In Minneapolis-St Paul, the severe weather is going to be in South Dakota, sections of Nebraska and Iowa. This has a frontal system working its way out of the Rockies. We'll continue to push east by southeastward. There could be some locally severe weather there, but dry in central and south Florida, although from Daytona Beach northward up to Jacksonville could be some afternoon showers. Looks pretty dry, though from Jupiter down to Fort Lauderdale and into the Miami and the Keys for the afternoon on Sunday. Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth are looking pretty good. West Coast drying out a bit. San Diego just some isolated showers but looking dry, and it looks like dry weather in LA, san Francisco and also in the Pacific Northwest. I'm your host, justin Pelletier, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing on Monday. Take care.
