Your Complete Monday Weather Briefing with Steve Pelletiere
Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletieri and I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Monday. Looks like a nice day coming up today on this 28th day of the month of April so quickly going by into the last few days, things are going to be a little bit on the warmer side. Today Highs will range into the low to middle 70s across the mid-Atlantic and northeast. However, tomorrow it starts to really warm up to near 80 or the lower 80s and also upper 70s, lower mid 80s. On Wednesday it looks like also dry, mild conditions for Thursday of this week, but by the time we get towards Friday and the early portion of the weekend a little cold front moves through. Might give us some much-needed rainfall, but then a clearing trend for the upcoming first weekend of the month of May, the new month of May coming up next weekend. In the meantime, for today though, as mentioned, a good amount of sunshine and our temperatures low to middle 70s. From DC up to the Boston area Boston closer to 70, dc closer to about 77, right around 75 in New York City. If you're traveling on this Monday, it looks like fair weather down in Atlanta, charlotte, new York and the Boston area.
Speaker 0:No problems weather-wise In central and south Florida there'll be some scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms Nothing major but could result in maybe a half-hour delay from place to place, especially at Tampa, st Pete and also around Daytona. However, further south the weather looks pretty good. Also, dry conditions in Texas at Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth, but heavy rains across central portions of Oklahoma where there will be locally severe weather and possibility of some tornadoes and severe thunderstorms. Severe thunderstorms and tornadoes also a possibility for southeastern portions of Minnesota, a good portion of Iowa into sections of western Wisconsin, of western Wisconsin. This is a frontal system starts to push towards the south and east. That area of low pressure will make it rainy and cause extensive delays into the Minneapolis-St Paul area during the daytime and this evening.
Speaker 0:Chicago at this point not looking too bad, but there will be clouds and the possibility of some showers by later in the day and at night. Dry weather on the west coast for California, but it does look like some rain moving into the Pacific Northwest, portland and Seattle with rain. I'm Steve Pelletieri and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing on Tuesday. Take care.
