Northeast Enjoys Spring Warmth While Storms Brew in the Midwest
Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletieri and I'm the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Wednesday. It's the last day of April 2025 and we've got some great weather across the northeast, at least from about Baltimore north up to New England and west and northwestward up into northwestern Pennsylvania. All of New York State and southeastern Canada looks like dry weather and highs in the 70s today, so very nice conditions. However, there's a frontal system that's stationary just over DC, south to Richmond, to the Outer Banks and Virginia Beach. That area is going to have some scattered areas of rain for the daytime today, but it looks like this high pressure will give us good weather both today and for tomorrow. During the day on Thursday, we open up the new month of May with temperatures ranging into the lower to mid-70s and all fair skies, but showers will be moving in from the areas over the Midwest and that will be arriving in the east. That will be moving in on Thursday night. Friday also has a chance of showers with some mild weather because a warm front will move past the area. Temperatures will go into the 80s in many communities across the mid-Atlantic and northeast and as we head into the weekend, upper-level low-pressure system will keep us under the threat of showers on Saturday, but a clearing, cooler flow on Sunday of this upcoming weekend.
Speaker 0:If you're flying on this Wednesday, it looks like fair weather across the northeast, up in Boston, albany and also up around Toronto. No problems there. We do have some areas of rain and showers in Charlotte, but just look dry in central and northern Georgia. So Atlanta and Hartsfield looking very good and we're looking at dry conditions in central and south Florida as well. Showers are possible in Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth, maybe a few delays there. The severe weather is going to be across Oklahoma, extending into northwest Arkansas and into Missouri and portions of Illinois. That means Chicago and rain and it looks like rain also in Minneapolis-St Paul. West Coast showing dry conditions but a bit on the cool side. For LA and San Francisco Might be some late day of rain or some drizzle. It looks like a fair patch just for a while. For Portland and Seattle on Wednesday. I'm Eddie Rondon, steve Pelletier and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing in a new month of May tomorrow. Take care.
