Northeast Finally Dries Out: Your Weekend Weather Outlook
Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletierian. I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Saturday. It's the 10th day of the month of May 2025, and we've got some good weather finally moving into the Northeast. After some very wet weather across much of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast over the last couple of days, it looks like we're finally going to start getting some breaks and some pretty nice weather Washington DC, philadelphia, new York and even up in the Boston area, although Boston probably will have still some showers during the daytime today, but it'll be clearing up by later in the day and at night. So some improving weather there, but great weather in New York City and Philadelphia. Baltimore all looking fine with plenty of sunshine. Daytime temperatures near 70 for highs, but as you head towards tomorrow up to the mid-70s and mid to upper 70s, all with fair, dry weather as we continue into early next week.
Speaker 0:For the Northeast If you're flying on this Saturday again in and around the New York Newark area, of course Newark having some problems back and forth between Philadelphia Tracon and Newark Tower and Newark Approach and Departure. There has been extensive delays, just going by the books and making sure that everything is safe. Hopefully things will be improving there. In the meantime, though, weather-wise weather-wise, just a few showers up in the Boston area that extends up to much of Maine, and also looking at fair weather in New York, newark, laguardia, jfk we see JFK is always doing a lot better than most other area airports, except because of the way that they have their runway configuration and just its overall size and the runway length as well. So it just seems like that's the place to go with very few delays most of the time, and if you go down towards the Charlotte area, it looks like the weather's good there, but it will be raining and IFR conditions in Atlanta today that could cause some slowdowns in and out of there as well.
Speaker 0:It's a major hub, the busiest in the world, and on the Texas Gulf Coast looks like Houston will have rain. A few showers in Dallas, but clearing and fair weather in Chicago, minneapolis and also on the West Coast. Early fog in LA giving way to some hazy afternoon. Nice weather. Decent conditions in San Fran and Portland just clouds, maybe a few light showers in Seattle. I'm your manager, steve Filatieri, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing on Mother's Day, sunday, tomorrow. Have a good one.
