Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Sunday. It is the 18th day of the month of May 2025. And quickly getting into that second half of the month, we've had some rainy weather across the Northeast over the last several days, but it turned out really nice during the afternoon hours on Saturday in New York City, where temperatures went into the 80s. After some scattered showers in the early morning and also around the midday hours. After that moved through a strong clearing trend, turned into a beautiful day.

More great weather is expected for the northeast corner DC up to the Boston area Commencing Sunday, lasting until Monday and Tuesday. By the middle portion of the week Expecting an upper-level low-pressure system to more or less form off to the west and then meander across the mid-Atlantic and northeast and that could bring us into some more rainy weather that'll probably last at least through Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Possibly some clearing for this upcoming weekend, but for the daytime on Sunday expected high temperatures, a range only between 70 and 75 degrees, warmest at the south, of course, cooler to the north by about 5 degrees up in the Boston area, where it will be fair and also looking at some nice weather for Monday as temperatures also will range into the lower 70s, daytime, nighttime lows in the 50s. So dry conditions from the mid-Atlantic to the northeast expected. Expect also some rainy conditions up around Maine and northern portions of New Hampshire and Vermont. However, elsewhere Boston to DC looking generally dry and nice Elsewhere across the nation.

If you are traveling today, we're looking at dry weather in Atlanta and also in Charlotte, a little frontal system poking through but basically dry. Also good conditions down in central and south Florida Orlando, tampa, st Pete, fort Myers and Miami, fort Lauderdale no problems there. Looking good in Houston but could be some locally severe thunderstorms in Dallas-Fort Worth, especially up into Oklahoma, northern portions of Louisiana and central and southern Arkansas and also some locally severe weather. Once again, we're friends in eastern Kansas and southern and western Missouri. They had horrible storms earlier in the portion of Friday and the early portion of Saturday morning once that frontal system finally went through.

West Coast is getting dry, although there are a few showers around San Diego it looks like a real frontal system and high pressure building in to LA and San Francisco looking good. Shower is still up in Portland and up in Seattle Seems like it's raining there all the time. Minneapolis-st Paul also looking pretty good, as does Chicago. No problems weather-wise. There I'm Eddie Rondon, steve Pell, the T-Rain. I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day. Today Looks like nice weather for the Northeast and we'll talk to you first thing on Monday. Take care.
