Monday's Meteorological Roundup: From Weekend Review to Holiday Forecast
Hi, this is Vinnie Rangel, steve Pelletier and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Monday. It is the 19th day of the month of May going by so quickly, my goodness and we had some decent weather move in during the weekend Early showers on Saturday, then a sunny afternoon and warm. A little bit of cool air aloft during the afternoon hours on Sunday caused a few sprinkles and showers across much of the mid-Atlantic and northeast, but generally fair conditions with very close to normal temperatures, as a matter of fact, a little bit cooler than it should be for this time of year. Looks like beautiful weather, coming up on Monday from DC up to the Boston area looking at sunny skies and highs of about 70 to 75. Clear weather at night, down to 48. Then for Tuesday, although starting off with sunshine will give way to an increase in clouds, and highs Also 70 to 75,. There may be some showers on Tuesday night Nighttime lows 53 and some showers likely on Wednesday, with Wednesday's highs 58,. Thursday, also some showers, temperatures generally ranging into the upper 60s and lower 70s as we head towards the end of this weekend and approach the Memorial Day weekend next weekend.
Speaker 1:Aviation weather across the major hubs across the United States and of course around the world. The number one place, the busiest airport in Atlanta, and we're looking at the possibility of some showers moving in there. It's a little stationary front, doesn't look like some major weather there but there might cause some slight delays into the Atlanta area. Also looking at some showers in Charlotte. Dry weather in most of central and south Florida and also coastal Texas. No problems there.
Speaker 1:But around Dallas-Fort Worth the possibility of some severe thunderstorms extending into eastern Oklahoma, western Arkansas, southern portions of Missouri and hopefully those storms will be in check. But they are a good possibility of some hefty rains from the Tennessee Valley all the way up to the Dakotas, western into Montana and another storm working into the Pacific Northwest. So Southern California is looking fine, san Diego, la, san Francisco all looking pretty good as you head up towards Portland and Seattle. Still some more rain in those places. Chicago's also dry, but looks like some rain in Minneapolis-St Paul. Recapping for today though for the Northeast Carter, a nice day. Temperatures in the 70s, decent weather to start on Tuesday, upper level low that we see over the Dakotas. That'll be moving over to the eastern seaboard, possibly giving us some well, some delays as far as weather is concerned for later Tuesday, wednesday and Thursday of this week May even extend it to Friday, but it does look like some better weather. Moving in for the Memorial Day weekend. I'm your host, justin Felder.
