Hi, this has been urologist Steve Pelletier and I'm the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom On your Friday. It is the 23rd day of the month of May and we still have that low pressure system across the Northeast. It's caused quite a bit of rainfall. Between one and two inches of rain recorded in Pennsylvania, new York State, maryland, delaware and even sections of northern West Virginia, northern state of Virginia. Now it's also raining across much of upstate New York, up in Vermont, new Hampshire, massachusetts, and also up in Maine and also at the islands, the Cape Cod and also around Nantucket, at Martha's Vineyard and much of Long Island. It's going to have some light rain showers on and off in those east and north early places, although we're looking at a slow, gradual improvement. The area of low pressure that's causing it all is gradually moving offshore and hopefully we're going to get into some decent weather this weekend. But the general trend has been for more clouds, more storms than not. Now we do see some drier weather, especially later Saturday and Sunday for the northeast. However, by the time we get to Monday, another storm will be approaching from the Midwest, probably going to bring us some more rainy weather by at least later Monday. We can hope for Memorial Day later in the day, but it does look like Tuesday and Wednesday will have overcast and wet weather in the northeast. In detail, for your Friday a mostly cloudy day, a few breaks in the overcast and the possibility of a passing sprinkle or shower. Nothing much. Temperatures generally between 60 and 65. That's below normal for this time of year and it looks like it's still that possibility of showers for Friday night and for Saturday. Saturday more clouds and sun, the possibility of a sprinkler shower in New York City, philadelphia, better weather down in DC and Baltimore. Overcast and rainy up in the Boston area, though, and it looks like by Sunday all places should get into some better weather, at least for maybe 24 hours. Unfortunately, by Memorial Day Monday and increasing clouds, at least temperatures will range a little bit warmer into the lower 70s by later Sunday and Monday. But for the holiday Monday it looks like we will have thickening clouds and the possibility of some more rain moving in by Monday night and Tuesday from DC up to the Boston area.

If you're traveling on this Friday, it looks like fair weather in Chicago, minneapolis, also fair in Atlanta and Charlotte. Just some scattered thunderstorms offshore Miami, fort Lauderdale and West Palm. Out in the coastal Texas does look overcast. Maybe some drizzle, but some heavier showers and thunderstorms. In Dallas-Fort Worth Foggy conditions early in the day, afternoon some breaks in San Diego and LA. San Francisco showing an increase in clouds. Looks like there'll be some more rain. Storm offshore will be moving onshore over the next 36 hours. Looks like dry conditions for today for Portland and Seattle. More rain will be moving in Friday night and Saturday. I'm your moderator, steve Pelletier, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing on Saturday. We'll take another look at that holiday weekend. Take care.
