Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I'm the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Monday. It's Memorial Day, monday holiday and, looking at, the 26th day of the month of May already, and we're quickly coming to the end of the month and our weather situation has turned more April-like across the mid-Atlantic and northeast, and not too bad of a day upcoming for today Plenty of sunshine. Our highs will range between 70 and 75. Each day we've had some extra clouds during the afternoon, a few light sprinkles and showers. Wouldn't be surprised to see if that happened Again, although the upper-level low-pressure system causing it all slowly, gradually drifting away from the region to the northeast. Looking at partly cloudy weather for tonight, down to 52. And back to the work week on Tuesday with partial sunshine, highs about the middle 70s. Then clouds move back in at night 55. And some showers and thunderstorms are possible Wednesday, thursday and maybe even Friday, although Friday starts to warm up and turns a little bit drier by later in the day, but still a chance of a shower. Temperatures each day, commencing Wednesday through Friday, generally in the 70s. It looks like as we get towards the end of this month temperatures will get back to near normal Dry conditions for today for the most part and Tuesday, but back to some showers for midweek.

If you are traveling on this Monday, you're going to look across the nation. We see, as mentioned, generally fair conditions in the northeast, associated with a low pressure moving offshore and a high pressure starting to build in, so some pretty good weather for today. However, there's that extra cloud cover, as mentioned, but as we head towards tomorrow, still rainy weather across the southern states. Showers is a possibility in the Charlotte area, atlanta, most active airport in the world. They're looking at showers and thunderstorms, so some slowdowns expected because of the weather there. Also at Houston, some rainy weather and possibly locally severe weather. Check your local forecasting at Dallas-Fort Worth area and central Texas. As a matter of fact, from South Dakota down through Nebraska, kansas, iowa and through Missouri in the central Mississippi River Valley, including Kentucky and Tennessee, there's going to be lots of rain. That of course, includes Mississippi, alabama and Georgia for the next couple of days and eventually that system will gradually drift towards the east. Chicago's looking dry, also looking dry in Minneapolis and we're looking at good conditions for the most part. We started off with a lot of fog and cloud cover San Diego and Los Angeles, but it does turn out to be nice as a day, whereas on San Francisco also dry, dry weather in Portland and what do you know, a little bit of nice weather coming up in Seattle, tacoma on your Monday, I'm your manager, steve Pelletieri, and I
