Weather Alert: Northeast Rain Ahead
Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I'm the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Tuesday. It is the 27th day of the month of May, after a fairly nice Memorial Day weekend weather-wise, across the Northeast, a lot of cloud coverage to the south of DC, south to Richmond and even into the Carolinas, and it's still in that area and that area of moisture is heading towards the Northeast. It looks like we will have a decent day today, from Philadelphia up to New York and up to the Boston area, where temperatures will average generally in the 70s and conditions will be dry. But on Wednesday there'll be an increase in clouds and it looks like showers moving up from the southwest to the northeast and rainy weather for Wednesday night, thursday, friday, maybe even into the early portion of the weekend for the last day of the month of May, on Saturday, probably going to open up June with a clearing trend, but high pressure is going to be short-lived, maybe another series of storms arriving around the middle to the end of next week. In the meantime, look for temperatures today in the 70s, conditions generally fair, clouds on the increase tonight in that rainy weather pattern developing, with temperatures in the 60s to near 70 on Wednesday, thursday and some more rainy weather for Friday and Saturday of this upcoming weekend.
Speaker 0:If you're traveling on this Tuesday, looks like fair weather in the northeast, from New York, philadelphia, all the way up to Boston and up to Portland, maine. Westward into Chicago, looks like some rainy weather. Rainy weather moving into Charlotte as well and to central and northern portions of Georgia. So Atlanta will have overcast and rainy weather with a warm front moving through High fire conditions. There will cause one or two hour delays in Atlanta, hartsfield. Looking at rainy weather also some scattered afternoon thunderstorms in central and south Florida. Also showers in Houston and possibly some locally severe weather in Dallas-Fort Worth are probably staying to the south, dry conditions from Oklahoma City westward up to Amarillo and also dry weather for the west coast, minneapolis, st Paul forgot to say they're going to have an overcast and rainy day on your Tuesday and hopefully a clearing trend on Wednesday.
Speaker 0:I'm meteorologist Steve Pelletieri and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Beautiful weather for your Tuesday, but looks like rain on the increase and looks like wet weather for the remainder of this week and the remainder of this month of May. I'm Steve Pelletieri. Talk to you first thing tomorrow. Take care.
