Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I'm the weatherman. Thanks for checking in to theweathermanpodcom On your Monday. It is the ninth day of the month of June, almost a third of the way through already. It's going fast. Well, our weather situation along the eastern seaboard still shows some very unsettling weather. It's areas of low pressure and a couple of frontal systems that will be passing by from DC up to the Boston area. First it's a warm front that will be passing through Harrisburg, extending down through Baltimore and over Cape May. That warm front will be passing towards the north and east but that precedes a cold front currently moving through eastern Ohio, central Kentucky and Tennessee and that will be arriving sometime on Monday night into early Tuesday. It will cause some scattered showers on Tuesday and the possibility even of some thunderstorms and, associated with that frontal system, some locally severe weather across the state of Mississippi and even into central and northern Alabama and portions of central and western Tennessee. That'll be during the afternoon hours on your Monday. So some more severe weather there. Also, severe weather conditions seem to be happening across west Texas and the northern panhandle south of Amarillo, but also across much of New Mexico. They've been hammered by these heavy thunderstorms and tornadoes and severe weather over the last several days Doesn't look like much of a change, at least for today. On this Monday For the northeast, look for the possibility of some scattered showers and temperatures generally only in the 70s to near 80 degrees. Frontal system moves through with some heavier rains Monday night into Tuesday, but by Wednesday high pressure starts to build in. Looks like some fair weather arriving in the east, extending from Wednesday right up through Friday of this upcoming week.

If you're flying on this Monday, expect some delays in and around New York, newark and LaGuardia JFK area because of the possibility of some scattered showers and thunderstorms with that warm front and, of course, because of the normal delays that seem to be happening around LaGuardia and Newark as well. Even in central and northern Georgia there will be some locally severe weather, so the Atlanta area may be impacted by some of that severe weather later during the daytime today and to the evening hours Also scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms over central and south Florida, and that will continue into Tuesday as well. Houston looking at showers, dallas-fort Worth nothing severe but there might be some thunderstorms, especially later in the day on Monday and on Tuesday. Chicago overcast and rainy, with another frontal system working its way through there. So a lot of weather going to be hanging up around the eastern seaboard causing a lot of delays. So if you are flying today, expect those one to three hour delays and even some cancellations, depending upon the weather situation and where you're going. Looks dry in LA and San Diego and San Francisco, but it does look like some clouds on the increase in Portland and maybe some showers later in the day and at night in Seattle, tacoma.

I'm your manager, steve Feltatier, and I'm the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. It still looks a bit on the cloudy side and some rainy conditions. This first third of June has been a little bit on the wet side, started out a little bit warm and dry but gotten into some wet weather. It looks like it'll continue at least into Tuesday, but then some nicer weather arriving midweek. Hope you have a good one today.
