Weather Ahead
Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Wednesday. It is the 11th day of the month of June 2025. We had some lousy weather earlier this week along the eastern seaboard. Actually, from Florida right up through Maine has been an overcast and wet weather the last couple of days, not so now We've got a clearing trend from DC up to the Boston area. As a matter of fact, very nice weather today. Trend from DC up to the Boston area. As a matter of fact, very nice weather today, tomorrow and probably even Friday. It's beyond that.
Speaker 0:When things start to really go downhill, saturday and Sunday across the mid-Atlantic and northeast will be under clouds and the possibility of some showers, the probability of it lingering right in through early next week. And a lot of folks who are looking for beautiful weather during the month of June are saying, hey, what's going on here? How come so much rainy weather? And well, that's just the way it goes. Sometimes had very wet weather during the month of May and it looks like it is continuing so far into June, and every so often you get one of those heavy thunderstorms that's the possibility that we're having both Saturday, sunday and maybe even Monday and Tuesday of next week and they can give you some very heavy downpours in short periods of time.
Speaker 0:But let's focus on the good things. Good weather today sunshine, 80 to 85. Tomorrow temperatures will reach the upper 80s and lower 90s. For Thursday, also with sunny weather, but Friday back to partial sunshine. Clouds on the increase, maybe some showers at night and, as mentioned that rainy weather pattern developing for this upcoming weekend into early next week.
Speaker 0:If you're flying, today looks like good weather in Atlanta and Charlotte. Also decent weather conditions in New York, north LaGuardia, jfk. Doesn't mean that there's not going to be delays because of the problems there, but we are looking at some nice weather up in Boston. Also out in Pittsburgh, cleveland, chicago looking good, minneapolis, st Paul the possibility of some showers. Also rainy weather in Houston and possibly some severe weather starting to work its way into Dallas-Fort Worth. Most of the severe weather still in the western panhandle, east of El Paso, south of Amarillo, something that we'll have to consider your local forecast the best to stay on top of the weather situations there. Also, across the state of Idaho, lots of rainy weather. Western Montana, western sections of Wyoming and northern Utah, upper-level low-pressure systems that will eventually get to the east. Well, that means the west coast is dry. Dry weather in San Diego, la, san Francisco, also up in Portland and Seattle. No problems there.
Speaker 0:South Florida it's the rainy season. Looks like we'll have some afternoon and evening rains in the Florida Miami, fort Lauderdale, west Palm, fort Myers and Tampa, st Pete so best time to fly right around the later morning hours into those places. During the later afternoon, heavy thunderstorms into the mid-evening hours in South Florida. I'm meteorologist, steve Pelletier, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. We'll talk to you first thing on Thursday. Enjoy the day, take care.
