Weather Forecast Breakthrough
Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I'm the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Tuesday, 17th day already of the month of June. It's flying by, but the weather has been not cooperating. Across the mid-Atlantic and northeast it's just been overcast and wet for the last several days. We're going to have more clouds and some raining weather for today. Temperatures in the 70s for the most part. For tonight, showers, maybe some thunderstorms, drizzle and fog down into the upper 60s. Now tomorrow it starts to change. The frontal systems gradually move on through and low pressures finally move offshore. High pressures will be the main feature by the end of this week, but on Wednesday it'll be early clouds, midday sun, and late day and evening thunderstorms. High temperatures for the day will range up to about 80 to 85 on Wednesday, wednesday night with showers and thunderstorms, lows down near 70. Then on Thursday it looks like we start off with fair skies and sunshine, but late day and evening thunderstorms with yet again another cold front. But that frontal system will be the leading edge of another high pressure cell that'll move in for Friday and the weekend. High temperatures on Thursday though all the way up to about 90 to 95 in many communities. Cooler though to the north, a little bit warmer off to the south and cooler along the Jersey Shore and, of course, around the coast of Long Island and the Delmarva Peninsula. And as we head towards Friday it'll be sunshine in the 80s, fair and warm back into the 90s.
Speaker 1:As we head to this upcoming weekend across the Northeast Corridor, if you're flying today it looks like we'll have rainy weather in Atlanta and Charlotte. Also some scattered late-day thunderstorms in South Florida, but nothing much, not too bad. There will be more extensive rains across Tampa, st Pete and up and around Orlando. However, as you look over towards Houston, dallas, fort Worth, it looks like the weather will be fair and warm there. Showers and thunderstorms are likely. In Chicago, a clearing trend for Minneapolis, st Paulatures there in the upper 70s to near 80. It looks like fair weather for San Diego, san Francisco, los Angeles and then rainy weather starting to move back into Portland and Seattle by later in the day.
Speaker 1:On Tuesday. I'm your moderator, steve Pelletieri, and I'm the weatherman. Hope you have a great day Today. I know the weather's kind of lousy, but it will be improving by day. I know the weather's kind of lousy, but it will be improving by the time we get to the end of this week. The weather should be quite nice from Friday right through the weekend. I'm Steve Pelletieri. Have a great one. Talk to you tomorrow.
