Weather Shift

Stephen Pellettiere
Speaker 1:

Hi, this is Meteorologist Steve Pelletierian. I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Thursday, 26 day of the month of June 2025, quickly coming to the close of this month. Well, our heat wave in the east just about done at this point, except for the Carolinas and further south. The heat continues there, but a frontal system almost stationary, extending from the northern Ohio Valley then eastward right in through Pennsylvania and New Jersey, causing an east wind to set up and that'll keep our temperatures from getting up too high. So mostly cloudy day today and we're looking at the possibility of some scattered showers and thunderstorms across the northeast corridor, our highs only ranging between 80 and 85. It's about a good almost 15 to 20 degree drop from what it has been last several days for daytime highs. Thursday night possibility of some showers 63. More showers are possible on Friday, saturday and Sunday. Each day. Our high temperatures generally varying 70 to 75 expected. On Friday it will be a little bit warmer to the south, cooler to the north and east, especially along the coast. Saturday, with a chance of some shower temperaturesbing It'll recover back into the 80s, also back into the 80s on Sunday, but still about a 40% chance of some showers or thunderstorms from DC up to the Boston area expected for Sunday. If you're traveling today, much of the east will be under the threat of scattered showers and some thunderstorms. Up in the Boston area, cloudy with some rain, occasional showers and thunderstorms possible, especially during the afternoon and early evening. That will cause delays in the New York area. Philly, new York, laguardia, jfk and Newark all will be suffering from the possibility of some widely scattered thunderstorms that will cause between one and two hour delays at a minimum, depending upon the intensity and severity and the time of day, probably have more delays because of the weather in the later afternoon and evening hours on your Thursday. Even down in DC there'll be some scattered showers and thunderstorms, similar at Baltimore, and then further south, afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.

Speaker 1:

It's Charlotte, and also in Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth. Generally dry weather, although there will be some scattered thunderstorms working its way out of central Oklahoma and the northern panhandle of Texas over the next couple of days. Down in South Florida, scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms. That's typical for this time of year. Early morning fog and cloud cover in Southern California breaks away to some afternoon sun, but dry conditions in San Diego, la, san Francisco, up in the Pacific Northwest Looks like more rain up around Seattle and Tacoma. We've got Chicago. It's going to be overcast and rainy. Rainy weather in Wisconsin and a good portion of eastern Minnesota. This afternoon. I'm Eddie Rodgers, steve Pelletier and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing on Friday. See you then.
