Weather Across America
Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I'm the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Sunday. It's the 29th day of the month of June 2025. Look at, the weather situation across the eastern portion of the nation Shows lots of shower action from the central Great Lakes all the way down to the southern Mississippi River Valley, westward to the central and Great Plains states, across Nebraska, kansas and even portions of Oklahoma and North Texas. Also areas of rain across the Tennessee Valley and the southern Ohio Valley, extending right over to the eastern seaboard, through the Carolinas southward all the way into Atlanta and with scattered showers and some thunderstorms down across central and south Florida. But it looks like most of the heavier showers are from Tampa, st Pete northward up to Tallahassee, and from about Vero Beach all the way up to about Daytona and Jacksonville. It looks like our weather situation for the northeast shows a frontal system, almost stationary, extending from Cleveland right to just north of Pittsburgh and over through New York City. North of there the situation is showing a lot of cloud cover and an easterly wind which is keeping temperatures cooler, but south of there it's a more southwest flow with higher relative humidity and even the possibility of some thunderstorms. So that's probably the way it's going to turn out for a good balance of the daytime on Sunday Generally fair, dry conditions, but some scattered showers and thunderstorms from DC south and dry conditions from about Philadelphia, north and northeast. Temperatures for the day will range back into the mid to upper 80s. On Sunday and Monday about the same, although the frontal system working its way out of Minnesota and the western Great Lakes will be arriving here sometime either on Monday evening or Tuesday. That will set the stage for some showers and thunderstorms.
Speaker 0:Then, as we get into the new month of July as a matter of fact by later on in the week as we celebrate the 4th of July, independence Day holiday it looks like high pressure will start to build in from the Pacific Northwest. That should give us some very nice weather, commencing later Wednesday, possibly Thursday, friday, and into the first weekend of July, this upcoming weekend, but not too bad for today Good amount of sunshine, 80s to near 90, maybe a late day and evening shower. Better chance of some showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon on Monday and then those showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday, associated with a cold front. That should bring us some nice weather for midweek. If you're traveling, it looks like rain and showers in Atlanta and in Charlotte, also in Tampa, st Pete and also, as mentioned, in Jacksonville. Further south, some widely scattered afternoon or early evening thunderstorms in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Much further to Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth, basically dry, although there will be some morning cloud cover in Houston with some fog. Looks like rainy conditions for Chicago Drying conditions for Minneapolis-St Paul. Looks like the west coast will be dry from San Diego North to Los Angeles, san Francisco, portland and Seattle all looking pretty good weather-wise.
