Weather Outlook Now
Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Monday. It's the 30th day of the month of June 2025. We end up the month with a frontal system that's stationary, extending from north-central Pennsylvania, western New York right in through central and northern New Jersey, south of Long Island. It's a stationary front. We do have a strong cool front though that's now working its way from Lake Huron down across through central and northern Indiana, down to the central Mississippi River Valley and to north Texas. That frontal system will be advancing eastward and will be preceded and accompanied by some scattered showers and thunderstorms over the next several days. In the meantime, high pressure building southward through the Dakotas will give us some great weather for the Midwest and northern Plain states. Unscattered southern showers and thunderstorms are possible around central and southern Florida and along the Gulf Coast of the United States, including New Orleans, across through Tallahassee and also to Tampa, st Pete Also looking at the possibility of some afternoon and evening thunderstorms in Atlanta and Charlotte, and it looks like some showers and thunderstorms with the frontal system moving through the Chicago area. But then fair weather for Minnesota, central and northern Minnesota looking fair but cooler, and you have the St Paul with sunshine and highs in the 80s today. In the meantime it looks like the West Coast is going to remain generally dry. In San Diego, la and up to San Francisco, northern California, clouds will be moving in. Maybe some showers tonight. Portland and Seattle will be dry today.
Speaker 1:The frontal system working its way from the Pacific Northwest will bring in some rain for the daytime on Tuesday as we start in the first day of July on Tuesday. But for the most part we're looking at pretty nice weather, pretty typical weather for the end of June and the beginning of July and some very nice weather expected for the middle to the end of this upcoming week along the eastern seaboard, north of Washington DC and also into New England and the Great Lakes. With the next surge of high pressure that will bring some very nice weather for much of the northeast and northern plains. Our weather forecast for today calling for mostly sunny skies for the northeast and northern plains. Weather forecast for today calling for mostly sunny skies for the northeast corridor and temperatures ranging into the upper 80s, but a chance of showers and thunderstorms moving into night as those frontal systems start to move through nighttime most 70 to 75. And Tuesday we start off July with showers and thunderstorms and temperatures for the day generally ranging close to 90 in most places, with showers and thunderstorms at night. That's the cool front moving around the eastern seaboard. Wednesday mostly sunny, 86. Thursday and the 4th of July, friday, independence Day, looking at sunshine and temperatures in the 80s for the middle and the end of this week.
Speaker 1:I'm Indy Mongeau, steve Pelletier and I'm the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing on Tuesday, first day of July.
