Weekend Weather Report
Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I'm the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Saturday, 19th day of the month of July 2025. Some beautiful weather both on Thursday and Friday. Actually, it looks like our weather situation for today it's going to be like 50-50. The humidities will be increasing, also looking at the possibility of scattered thunderstorms in the latter portion of the day and during the evening. Frontal system working its way through the central Great Lakes right now. We'll be arriving in the east on Sunday and that'll fire up some thunderstorms, especially late day and evening. But it does look like a clearing trend, high pressure building down into the Dakotas and Montana and into Minnesota. We'll be arriving here Monday and Tuesday and it looks like it should last right up through the middle portion of this week, but gradually a little bit milder as we head towards the midweek. Another frontal system expected to move on through will reinforce that fair weather system into the last weekend of the month of July next weekend. In the meantime, our weather situation for today calling for partial sunshine, mid-80s, with late day and evening thunderstorm chance, nighttime lows 71. Tomorrow, back to partial sunshine but a better chance 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mostly midday and early evening hours and a clearing trend at night, highs again ranging into the upper 80s and lower 90s. So it will be a hot, more humid day, but then a throttle link back to some very nice weather for Monday and Tuesday, both days with sunshine and highs ranging from 80 to 85.
Speaker 0:If you're traveling today by air, it looks like maybe just generally some scattered thunderstorms around the New York area, so it doesn't look like anything much. No major delays into the New York City area because of weather and up in the Boston area generally fair. Chicago's going to have occasional rains. There'll be one to three hour delays there and also looking at the possibility of some thunderstorms in charlotte as well, with some delays in air travel into that region because of those thunderstorms, especially during the afternoon early evening.
Speaker 0:Atlanta is looking generally dry, maybe a few showers, a little break from all the afternoon and evening thunderstorms in central and south Florida as high pressure is building into that region. So it should be dry, especially for the midday and early evening hours. Maybe some thunderstorms at night. Houston going to have some scattered showers, dry and hot in Dallas-Fort Worth. Minneapolis-st Paul looking fair, with sunshine and a very low relative humidity. Beautiful weather for there and that's going to be arriving in the east on Monday and Tuesday. La some scattered showers, otherwise mostly sunny. Looks like dry weather in San Francisco, portland and Seattle as well, with near-seasonable temperatures. I've been your moderator, steve Pelletier, and I am the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to you first thing on Sunday. See you then.
