Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletierian out of the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom On your Wednesdays, the 23rd day of the month of July 2025. The month is quickly coming to a close. We're going to have some more heat and humidity working its way into the Northeast. The area of high pressure that's given us such beautiful weather over the last couple of days will give us another good one today, with our highs generally into the mid-80s across the Northeast Corridor From DC up to the Boston area. Look for fair skies and sunshine and very good weather, as temperatures go between about 80 degrees in Boston, 85 in New York City, 87 or 88 degrees in Philly, baltimore and Washington. But then we look for temperatures to reach into the lower 90s, or at least 90 to 95 on Thursday, with hazy, hot and humid weather. As the high pressure moves just offshore, a southerly wind will continue to heat pump into the area, with temperatures in the 90s to near 100 degrees expected for Friday. Now this weekend frontal system currently across the northwestern Great Lakes sections of central Minnesota down into the South Dakota, nebraska and northern Colorado area. That frontal system will slowly, gradually trudge to the east and is going to bring us the possibility of some scattered showers and thunderstorms both Saturday and Sunday, but it's going to take that long to get here because of the strength of this Bermuda high pressure along the eastern seaboard. Also watching an area of moisture just over North Florida, northern Florida, panhandle could have the possibility of some tropical development either in the Gulf or just off the southeast corner of the United States. But showers and thunderstorms are likely to continue there over the next several days and that may impact the weather across the northeast if things change. But we'll keep you in touch as far as what's going on there as we continue through the remainder of this week.

If you're flying, today looks like great weather in the New York area. No problems in Cleveland, pittsburgh, albany, all the way up to the Boston area, no problems weather-wise in Washington or Richmond. Charlotte's not looking too bad, although there'll be some late-day showers, possibility of some thunderstorms in the Atlanta area, but no major delays. Your major delays will probably be across Tallahassee or Pensacola or Jacksonville. Houston and Dallas. Fort Worth are looking pretty good, as does Chicago, but it does look like lots of rain and some delays getting into Minneapolis-St Paul. Today. Dry weather in San Diego, la and San Francisco, although San Francisco will be clouding over, with the possibility of some showers moving in from the Pacific, portland and Seattle. Lots of cloud cover and some afternoon sun, but generally no problems weather-wise flying into those places today. I'm your host, steve Pelletier, and I am the weatherman.
