Hi, this is meteorologist Steve Pelletier and I'm the weatherman. Thanks for checking into theweathermanpodcom on your Friday. It is the eighth day of the eighth month of the year and, looking at, very nice conditions for the northeast corner, as high pressure is the main feature across the northeast. We do see, however, a return to that hazy, hot and weather, a very humid weather pattern that we've had a little bit earlier than the month of july, and now in the month of august we're going to have our little heat wave, commencing probably on sunday, lasting probably right up through thursday of this upcoming week, and that means each day, with temperatures ranging in the low to middle 90s. Nighttime lows will range generally in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Cold front arriving probably probably next Thursday or early Friday will give us some relief from the heat and humidity for next weekend and as we head into the next week in the month of August. But after a beautiful day today, high temperatures of a lot lower 80s It'll be fair at night upper 50s, low to middle 60s across the Northeast corridor and plenty of sunshine mid 80s on Saturday, as mentioned, the lower 90s on Sunday. Then it heats up low to middle 90s right up through Thursday of next week each day If you're traveling today, no major problems. I see on the weather charts for today. Atlanta is going to be fine. Charlotte, no problems there.

Dry weather. Dry in the northeast but pretty nice right up through Boston. A few light showers around Chicago but nothing major. Still that severe weather in the Dakotas Now moving into Minnesota, with a strong frontal system starting to drop south from Canada and it's keeping rain in Montana, north Dakota and even sections of Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin. Dry but foggy weather Early going in the southeastern portions of California, san Diego and Los Angeles. Hazy, smoky to start, but then sunshine. Dry weather in San Francisco. Also Portland and Seattle looking pretty good as well. I'm Eddie Rogers, steve Pelletier, I'm the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today for your Friday. Talk to you first thing on Saturday and look at the weekend and the heat wave upcoming for the northeast. Talk to you tomorrow. Take care.
