Hi, this is BD Roger, steve Pelletier and I am the weatherman. Thanks for checking into the weatherman podcom on your Friday, 29th day of the month of August 2025, and we're entering into the long holiday weekend and your Friday is looking pretty good across the northeast, from DC out to the Boston area. Although starting off with generally fair skies, there'll be some extra cloud cover. It looks like the heaviest showers and thunderstorms associated with the weather front moving through the northeast on this Friday will be across northeastern Ohio, northwestern Pennsylvania, central and northern sections of New York State, including the Binghamton Elmira area, up to Syracuse, up to Albany and Saratoga Saratoga also looking at some rainy weather for the afternoon as that strong cold front moves through. But high pressure building into the northern Great Lakes will be moving into the northeast and that means fair weather for Saturday, sunday, labor Day, monday, and it looks like the fair weather will continue right in through the middle of next week. Daytime highs generally in the 70s, near 80 degrees in the 70s, but nighttime lows will be cooler, in the upper 40s, low to middle 50s. As you'll notice, we're getting closer and closer to that autumn time, with the official meteorological autumn starting on Monday, labor Day, monday, with the sun angle getting less and less each and every day, rising later, setting earlier, we're getting less sunshine. The average temperatures will continue to fall, but the weather does look good over the next several days.

If you are traveling by air. Today it looks like generally good weather in Atlanta and also in Charlotte. No problems in the DC area. Philadelphia, new York may have some light delays because of scattered showers or even isolated thunderstorms later in the afternoon. Similar situation for Albany and isolated areas of showers and thunderstorms up in the Boston area as well. Central and South Florida a light amount of late-day thunderstorms. Most of the time no problems flying in and out of the Florida Peninsula. It looks like dry but hot weather in Houston, dallas-fort Worth some locally heavy thunderstorms are possible there. Fair at cool weather in Chicago. Out on the West Coast looks like dry conditions from San Diego, la, san Francisco the possibility of clouds and some showers, and also looks like smoke and haze for portland and washington, but dry and warm weather continues there in the next several days. I'm in your roger, steve pelletieri, and I'm the weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to your first thing on saturday. See you then.
