Meteorological Autumn Begins: Your National Weather Outlook

Stephen Pellettiere
Speaker 1:

Hi, this is Media Browser Steve Pelletierian and the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into TheWeathermanPodcom On your Monday. It is Labor Day. Monday it's the first day of September.

Speaker 1:

Looking back to the month of August, temperatures were below normal. You knew it was cooler than normal and also drier than normal as well. It looks like this weather trend is going to continue for a good balance of this week Across the Northeast Carter expecting skies to be generally fair and sunny during the daytime, clear to partly cloudy at night. Each day over the next several days you are going to have high temperatures in the upper 70s and lower 80s, but nighttime low temperatures back to about 50 to 55, and we're losing about a minute and a half of sunshine each and every day. It's the beginning of meteorological autumn and that's because of the amount of sunshine that we do receive now well limited. The sun is sort of like the way that it is in early April and, with that in mind, your average temperatures are going to continue to fall over the next several days. We are looking at temperatures generally in the upper 70s lower 80s, but by the end of the week the possibility of some scattered showers. For the next weather front moving through looks the possibility of some scattered showers for the next weather front moving through. Looks like the possibility of some showers towards the end of the week on Friday may be clearing up for the first weekend of September.

Speaker 1:

Then Dry conditions of course, across the Northeast Philadelphia, washington DC, baltimore, richmond, all the way up to New York City, hartford and Boston, even into central and southern Maine. We are looking at generally fair conditions for today, so no problems weather-wise flying in and out of those places. It's also dry and nice weather in Chicago, charlotte and Atlanta also doing pretty good. Central and South Florida still under the stationary front. That's been causing a lot of rainy weather across the Gulf Coast. Showers and some thunderstorms from Central and South Florida could delay some of your flights in and out of Miami and Fort Lauderdale, houston and Dallas-Fort Worth also some scattered late-day thunderstorms. Otherwise the heat continues. Dry weather in Minneapolis-St Paul. Dry conditions on the West Coast, san Diego, la, san Francisco, all the way up to Seattle and Tacoma. Over the next several days that dry condition will continue as well on the west coast. I'm meteorologist steve pelletieri and I'm the weatherman. Hope you have a good labor day monday. Talk to you first thing tomorrow. Back to work and back to school on tuesday. See you then.
