Sunshine Up North, Storms Down South: The Weather Tango
Hi, this has been your balls, Steve Pelletier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPont.com on your Saturday. It is the 27th day of the month of September, 2025. And looks like we are going to have generally fair weather across the northeast, at least from about Baltimore, Philly, northward up to the New York and Boston area, northward up to Albany, and also off to the west. But we do have a frontal system arriving in the east and a stationary front across the Carolinas. And that's going to keep a lot of cloud cover around the mid-Atlantic states towards the southeast. And also watching the development of tropical systems off the southeast coast as uh they will stay basically offshore. But the next one that will be uh forming over the next couple of days will most likely be a factor along the eastern seaboard, probably for the coastal Carolinas. That'll be sometime either on Monday or Tuesday. But in the meantime, we're looking at a good amount of sunshine giving way to clouds and highs near 80 degrees for the most part. There may be some showers tonight, not much, down to about 62 early clouds giving way to clearing Sunday, becoming mostly sunny 80 and Monday, partly sunny 79. Here's a look at the week upcoming as we end September and begin October, Tuesday. A good deal of clouds, maybe a shower or two, high 77 degrees, then becoming sunny near 70 only, and in the 60s on Thursday and Friday as we enter into October. Now, if you're flying today, commercially. As I mentioned, it looks like fair conditions up in the Boston area, also up to Albany, west to Buffalo, Erie, also Cleveland, Chicago, Minneapolis, St. Paul, all looking pretty good. The problem lies in the mid-Atlantic states. We are going to have an increase in clouds, but no problems weather-wise for the New York area. Most of the heavy weather will be down from Baltimore to D.C., Richmond, then through Raleigh Durham, and even down into Columbia and coastal sections of South Carolina. Atlanta will have some scattered showers, nothing too heavy, but heavier thunderstorms are possible in Charlotte. Could cause some delays into there. Also, much of the Florida Peninsula under scattered showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon hours. So some delays there. Morning weather a little bit better in South Florida and late evening as well. Houston and Dallas Fort Worth are looking dry. It looks like some rain across four corners and some rainy weather over Southern California. A few showers in San Diego and San Francisco and Los Angeles. But San Francisco, the showers will be on the light side, and it looks like basically a clearing trend. Still some showers up in Portland and Seattle as well. But the rainy areas look like around four corners: Arizona, New Mexico, uh, Utah, and southern Colorado, the mid-Atlantic states from the Carolinas, the Virginias, southward through Georgia and into South Florida, and be watching for tropical systems to develop off the eastern seaboard over the next several days. And we'll keep you up to date as far as those uh developments as they continue this weekend. I've been your Steve Pellet here, and I am the Weatherman. Hope you have a great day today. Talk to your first thing on Sunday. See you then.
